You receive an invitation to join AARP. I got one yesterday and Wilma is still having fun calling me "Old Man."

@Fred19Flintstone I resemble that comment. I vaguely recall that I received my AARP invite on the day I turned 50. Quite a data base for sure. And that was long ago...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

For me, working with people younger than my own kids.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

I played golf with some groomsman at my nieces wedding last month. All the young dudes trying to crush it and shanking all over the course. I tee up, swing easy and straight down the fairway she goes! I expect a bunch of high-fives, which I get, along with "alright, Mr Chip! Old guys rule!" Crap. Taking my son to the music store, and he seeing a vinyl album for the first time, and watching him looking for the place you plug in the earbuds so you can listen to it. I thought it best not to show him an 8 track. Where did the 60's and 70's go?"Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

@Legume @Cookbook_Chip There is no coincidence that in every known language from the beginning of human speech, there is no phrase that resembles "there is nothing more joyful than getting old and closer to death."
Yep, that is how I think.

Does anyone remember party lines on the phone as an less expensive option to a private line? When several people shared the same line to speak with others, and it was not a conference call?"Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Brian Johnson appeared at the New Years Eve Billy Joel concert I attended in Orlando last year to do You Shook Me All Night Long. Was in the front row.
