Great read. We now know that our assumption of 40# was correct.  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the read cazzy.  I used the paper you recommend over the weekend and it helped take my game up to the next level.  Granted, I started at the bottom, so I'm only at level 4...

So is it still correct to say that white and pink butcher paper are the same other than the color, if you get the 40#

Arthur Bryant's BBQ hear in KC has been wrapping their BBQ that they sell in pink paper for as long as I can remember.  Now this is after it has been cut and prepped.  I need to get some their food again soon and since the wife is sick maybe I will today for me and the kid.  I need to cook a brisket now to see how this works.

I'm glad they have a consumer version now.  I think my wife might have divorced me if I ordered a huge roll of that stuff.

Holy Christ $29.95 for 150 ft???????

I can buy 18x1050 ft for $52.95 from my supplier.

Maybe I should start selling it on the side.

I'm sure that has to do with the baked in shipping charges for Prime.

    Sam's has 18"x 1000' for $28.52 in white.  It's a little better in price.

I also found this on Amazon.

@cazzy go white?  I find that offensive and  you must be insane.  The pink paper gives the pink smoke ring.  White paper gives no smoke ring.

Have you ever tried this stuff...

    http://www.sweetcarolinatea.com/home.php

It is really good, taste just like sweet tea...vodka. We mix it with lemonade to make some John Dalys (or spiked Arnold Palmers). Awesome summer drink.

I do like the idea of making your own though too, especially with good vodka like Titos

I didn't know that.  I swear, I learn something new about BBQ everyday!
