I am about out of rubs and this may just the thing to do.  Being in KC I have access to a lot of good local rubs, but a lot of them can be ordered online now.  I will have to look for some special ones if partake in the fun.

I'm pretty sure I have cracked open every thing I have received from the last one.

With that said, you are on the left coast, and could be the lucky person to get a 1-10 time use rub lineup compliments of ol tarheelmatt!  :)

Just one person's opinion, but I wouldn't care if it was stuff you could get online.  To me, that just means that if I really liked something I'd be able to get more when I need it.

To name a few that are close to me Oak Ridge BBQ, Three Little Pigs, Pellet Envy, R' Butt's R' Smokin, Smokin Gun's and Plow Boy's BBQ.  All good rub.  Those are a few I would put in and another new one I found is Butcher's Choice.

I'm in!  If you get me, I will cook and eat almost anything.

    Exclusions:
    1. Things that are alive at the time of consumption (except for funky cheese, which is awesome)
    2. Things that are on fire
    3. Things that you get a t-shirt/plaque for having eaten (back in my 20's, but not now)
    4. Things that are purported to "make you strong, like bull" (with the accompanying arm/fist extending from below the belt).  That is usually the last desperate sales pitch for something disgusting
Thanks in advance, whoever you are!

Last time I couldn't find enough decent rubs and sauces so I sent beer to make up for it.  Hope you like beer.

I just picked up six bottles of various rubs special made and sold only at my local butcher shop and already have a few different types of hot sauces for the package. Someone is going to be a happy camper when this bad boy arrives.

I'm totally excited to receive my package.... But shopping for stuff to send out is almost as fun!

Unless you own, and operate in a food safe manufacturing conditions kitchen, I would appreciate you NOT including anything homemade. I am sure you, your neighbors and friends and everybody loves your creations, I want what's on the shelf vacuum sealed from YOUR region, not mine!!! And I will be sending rubs, and spices made and sold locally from California only. Makes sense.

Yes, sir... T-Vegas born and raised.  Mom worked for Thomasville Furniture for 23 years until they moved out.  Not much furniture left any longer, which is a shame.  I'd have to get with Cazzy to increase the price if I sent a piece of T-Ville furniture out to you.  Lol...

@anton I agree mostly but I'll be sending some of my favorites that are not necessarily from my region but stuff I think is good. I have had a hard time finding enough stuff I can only get around here that I like.

@jls9595, yeah, if I need filler stuff, I will probably do similar, I guess I would just make sure it's stuff not from recipients region, actually.I have, and will be collecting more stuff this weekend from Gilroy, Watsonville, and some special stuff from Oakland(may or may not contain crack). All California manufacturers.

I'm doing as much stuff from around me as I can muster up but I'm including a few of my favorites from all around as well. After all if I had to rely on all BBQ products from Massachusetts it'd be a pretty small package. Also, even though it's from Portland OR there is no way in heck I'd ever let this package go out without a bottle of Secret Aardvark. It wouldn't be right to deny someone the absolute pleasure of the Secret Aardvark.

Keep in mind that people often browse the Internet or touch every rub/sauce in the store and then buy something they know works. When someone gives you something you're more inclined to try it and expand your cooking boundaries.  @tarheelmatt opened new doors for me when it comes to saucing pork.

@tarheelmatt, I'm glad you succumbed to the peer pressure from @NPHuskerFL. This was an event I almost skipped last year. No doubt you would of regretted skipping this year.

That's what makes it kind of difficult, because so many of the rubs and sauces I use can be gotten on line from what I have seen, but I have my favorites that I could send.  I do have some new sauces though I haven't seen online yet that would go in to the box if SWMBO says it is ok.  I think she will go for it.

I'm glad I got involved with the last one too, Steve!  I have really enjoyed all the items I received from you and use them regularly.  I guess I'll have to find room for more now, but that's a good problem to have I suppose.
