Amy.  I like you.  And my neighbor is an **** too.  When I told him his dog had gotten out of the yard, he grunted at me.  Congrats on your first cook!

I'd LOVE to come to Brisket Camp, but I don't feel like I'm qualified. Sookie, I'm just real. If you sh*t on me, I'm gonna tell ya your wrong. It's the Yankee in me. Like or leave it. :) I like you too.

Where ya from? I don't consider myself a Yankee, but I've been up here so long, I guess I am.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I'm from Connecticut. I moved to NC in 1998. I've adapted to Southern life. It beats CT winters, and frankly our beaches sucked too.

Time for another refresh of the BGE adult beverage rules.  (Disclaimer-I have read all the posts in this thread but am moving into Low Earth Orbit so I may be failing to grasp the contents/connecting thread) Anyhow, (time independent) Rule 1-light the BGE =time for an adult beverage; Rule2-food on=time for an adult beverage; and then Rule 3-as desired/required to ensure proper (or lack thereof) supervision of the cook.
Yes, an overnight low&slow can kick your a$$ by the time you hit the finish-line.
@icunrse-welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.

Mmmmmm. That looks great!!! I love your set up!!! I spatched my chickens for tomorrow. That was literally the most disgusting thing I've ever done, and I'm a nurse!! Gah. It's chilling uncovered now.

Based on this thread alone, you're more than qualified.

I'm on the left coast, so I'm just getting started, but this is a great thread to get started on. Just cooking some chicken quarters with some chicken, mango sausage. And a whole lot of Coors Light!

Having Summer Shandy here but no Egging as we are in a Severe Thunderstorm thing.  Got some crockpot chicken taco meat going and the wife just baked off some shells in the kitchen clock. All my neighbors that border my property are nuts, the ones I live around are pretty good.

@Scottborasjr you should do some tequila shots, THEN for up the egg. Thunderstorm be damned.

@theyolksonyou If I didn't work at 6:00 am I probably would, past the point of no return now.  Tomorrow I will cook, weather be damned. Very rarely do I let the weather stop me. Tonight just got lazy. But I'll probably do some Crown anyway, tequila is for tomorrow night.  =)

This is why I have my egg is under a covered patio. The baby gets to smell the pecan or Apple or mesquite gently whip through her room as well. Win win overall.

    This.

Besides, I am partial to ICU nurses. And PICC lines. =) Had my experiences with both.

And she's right... Connecticut winters suck!

@TN_Sister_State mine is under an awning once we get past the stormy season, just haven't put it up yet. No point in watching my awning blow away during a weather event... ;)

I've had a couple heart procedures lately and my nurses were awesome!!!!! Dr's have a bad bedside manner, understandable, but the nurses are what people like me remember.  They deserve everything good in life!!

It was just a matter of time.
Welcome to the world of my peeps and I. Several of us have lazy boy recliners, with cup holders and a cooler, we use in egger therapy. I will go ahead and get yours ready too. Nameplate optional, but it is nice to have. See you soon. Congratulations, and my deepest sympathy.
