    I know you didn't imply it, but you did say the problem is simple by good parenting.  That is good in theory but unfortunately won't stop people from becoming rapist, selling drugs, robbing people or breaking and entering.  Does it help, it sure does but some kids are just fuvked in the head and no guidance will help them.  

    Some of these knuckleheads need to get hit with a belt or switch, but old discipline measures are frowned upon.  That might help the few of them that are susceptible to peer pressure and don't fear what dad will say when he finds out.

    @cazzy Agreed!  I must be the poster child for the politically incorrect parent. I believe in discipline whether it be verbal or corporal. After a child reaches a certain age corporal punishment (spanking) is less effective and by that time they know what's right and wrong. At the end of the day I , you and others can only control what happens in our little bubble. We cannot force others to do right. That's where laws and cause & effect consequences come into play I guess.

    It really sucks for the business owners. What says black lives matter more than free tvs and liquor? How'd you like to have your business or property torched while the city sits on its hands? Big difference in protesting and trying to kill police officers. 
    Agree 100%. We seem to be forgetting that the real problem is the thugs who jump on the racism and police brutality bandwagon to justify their desire to do criminal acts. If the few bad apples in the PD are culpable them let the justice system do its work. But to burn down neighborhood stores, owned by people who had nothing to do with the situation is asinine. How about the civil rights leaders i.e. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton et al, condem these idiots doing all the rioting, instead of making excuse for them.

    Sharpton is a big part of the problem. I don't care what color your skin is people that don't what to obey laws and become a proactive member of society just need to be removed. The justice system is failing and anyone seen on TV knows that if they get caught they will go to jail with their buddies and get three meals a day and a work out room. That's not punishment.

    I would also be willing to bet a large sum of money that some of those people who are throwing rocks at the police and burning down buildings, are members of the same gangs that are killing innocent bystanders during those drive bys

    As a leader of the black community, he should be using his platform to denounce the violence and rioting, instead of stirring the pot to incite by organizing a march to protest because the police department is delaying their report. Did it occur to him that maybe they want to get it right. If nothing is done about it then he can organize a protest. Give the system time to work!
