I wonder if the original devastated thread is also sinking?

<edit> Looks like it is.  I saw the number of new posts go up but it didn't bump.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

It is. I just posted a test bump and it didn't bump. So i guess we can put this all behind us and move on.

I got all miffed during the politics pages of the darn thread.  I spoke my mind & then left the thread.  Chicken, maybe  but it was going nowhere.   Did the "sick"stuff offend ME,  no,  but I can sure see how it might be over the top  for  a forum sponsored by the company.  I get similarly miffed at Sigforum occasionally but they're a private forum and like him or not,  his rules rule.  I also don't see that  thread as the ultimate statement on shunning political correctness  or protecting free speech.  It's just  gone on some potentially offensive tangents that really (imho) do not suit the spirit of the premier komodo cooking board.  One upping each other with immaturity seems out of place here.  Many of the most questionable posts are from folks who've helped me greatly in my egging.  I don't want to alienate them should I ever meet em at Stn Mtn or N. Ga  eggfests etc.  I was just disappointed in choices they made.   There,  I said my piece in this thread too.

Pretty sure it's the Spam/Troll/Abuse flags that get the attention of any mods.  Up until this weekend I don't think any had been thrown on THAT thread.
It definitely was a thread that could get under anyone's skin at some point or another if you let it......but again.....it's the internet and nothing can be taken seriously.

I had a nightmare one time that I had woke up in L.A. and didn't know how I got there.  I was terrified, no money, and no idea how to get to the airport.  Then I woke up from the nightmare and discovered I was still at home in my comfortable bed.  Whew!
I have that nightmare every week but it's always true. On a plane to Cali as we speak. Groundhog Day.
I'm on the way to Nashville, whole week this time.

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so **** what."

Another witty retort, as expected, like a cold butter knife slicing through cold butter.
