@theyolksonyou - quite likely too late for this parenting offering but whenever I felt a need to have a meaningful conversation with my sons about any topic including "the talk" I found that an evening drive in the car was the best environment.   Captured audience, dark so any emotional facial expressions are private and you can manage the duration.  
I would recommend that approach for others going forward.  FWIW-
And hang on to your waller once they land in your insurance calculus.

Showed restraint while walkin by a Walmart employee's bonehead display. Someone will get a good deal on a OTG priced as a OTS.  The OTS next to it was marked $98.

I faintly recall teaching mine to drive. Both learned on a manual transmission. I figured in an emergency, it was always a worthy skill.

My parents did the same for me. I don't own a manual, so we'll dance with who brung us. 

Dad taught me to drive the tractor at about 12, learned to clutch a 3-speed Allis-Chalmers then.  Advanced to Dad's F-100 at 13 (learner's permit at age 13 in SD, 1973!) then my own Ford in '75, three-on-the-tree.  
All four of my vehicles are manuals now... probably the last ones.  :(

Downgraded my Triple Play package to internet only. 200/month down to 40/month. I'm going to look at SlingTV and PlayStation Vue to stream live stuff.

Nice. I stream a lot. I have an Amazon FireBox with Kodi on it. I also have Kodi on my laptop. Lots to choose from.

I have a chrome cast and fire stick. I may invest in a box to make it easier on the less tech-savvy members of my family since I otherwise interface through a mobile device.
