The scientific name of the lima bean is phaeseolus lunatus; that is also the scientific name for the butter bean.  Hence, they are the same.

    I did not know that.

Got everything delivered, pulled, and served about 75 meals. Lots of leftovers they will have out for donations after their church tomorrow. These pics were from after 6 hours FTC in the Pelican.

    Now at Jeremy's season opener.

@SGH I was looking at the Meadow Creek BX50 vertical smoker. It doesn't have all that much more space than the XL. I then started looking at the PR60. I'm real close to bringing one home. I've smoke whole hog several times on the PR60, dealer said he has done 34 butts at once. For sheer capacity it looks like PR might be the way to go and then I also no longer need to pay rental fees when I do whole hog. Oh, and the PR60 is the price of an XL, much less than a vertical. Any input on this? Not this specific one. But vertical vs direct fired with heat deflector?

Today begins "Taste of Ogden" week, wherein participating restaurants offer 2-course lunches for $8 and 3-course dinners for $15, to get residents to try something new.  Becoming my favorite holiday!
I went to the new place on 25th that had "Himalayan Yak Tartare", cool place with bebop and big band jazz on the system.  I ordered a pear and goat cheese salad with pistachios, and then a home-made fusilli pasta dish with sun-dried tomatoes and smoked-gouda sauce; I also ordered truffle oil frites with homemade aioli and italian herbs for an additional $6.
Fantastic dishes all, and enough food that I couldn't finish everything.  They also sell 24 flavored vinegars, 6 flavored olive oils, and fresh pasta, all made on-site.
Will be hitting this place again.  :triumph:

Just ate a block of humboldt fog cheese. Like fist sized. And drinking a beer after laying out a brick walkway while listening to the Red Sox game. Started design on a custom archival box for a first edition of Finnegans Wake. Now moving on the the triple creme cheese, some goat cheese i found in the drawer, and another beer.

Bought and ate a block of truffle brie from the French Quarter Market.  Then chased it down with a bloody mary from Check Point Charlies.  Got home, did the things...and helped my neighbor cut molding for his front columns.  Now trying to shake off the buzz and get some work done.

Bringing the large up to insane temps in record time. Nothing like a little forced draft to get the temps up real fast.

What a crap of ****. Either a gas station or the casino must have leaked or took my number when I was up there a few weeks ago. Trying to buy stuff at target. Could be worst could have cost my something. To bad I only ever had one credit card.

Don't know how I missed the above. My apologies brother D. If you are free this afternoon around 4:00pm give me a call. I will be more than glad to talk to you about smokers. It would take me forever to type it all.

Thanks Scottie, I'll have to take a rain check on that. But I would greatly value your input. Today just won't work, taking in a Phillies game with my wife and big guy.
