@dmw congrats to him. Prepare to spend a lot of weekends at the park. I speak from great experience. As long as he loves it, it's worth every minute.

@DMW - sounds like time for a celebratory cook and his favorite food.  And you can take a breath as well.  No experience with travel baseball but plenty with that no hands game and as @theyolksonyou says, as long as it's fun for him enjoy the road trips.

Depending on where the games are, I see the KJ Jr. getting much more use this spring/summer than it has in the past year plus I've had it. I just don't want to been seen as competition for fund raising snack bars.

@dmw depends on the venue. In the parking lot is usually ok. Some places are no outside food or drink, but that never goes well as people bring coolers and snacks for the team. Have seen people cook in the lots. Some even bring an RV. 

Around here at least the concessions are just another profit center for the tournament director. It's all a business. Not a fund raiser. People make a few grand a weekend on a big tourney.

@DMW - If he can hit it then he is home free.  That hand-eye coordination is the largest challenge with baseball.  You can develop the other traits but that's the key, unless he is a left-handed pitcher-now that's a pass to greater things.  Good luck with the try-outs.  Always more stress for the parents.

Getting drunk and watching a movie with the wife

Drunk making food. No egg involved. Ground some chicken breast  butter, meat church fajita and yard bird added then sous vide at 146 for 2 hours. Added cheese and more rub then made little burritos.

Thanks. Have done lots of chicken in the SV but this is a different level of tender. cooks faster also was solid in 2 hours.

It makes steaks so easy.  You can focus on sides, flavors, etc.

I just finished racking 5 gallons of beer, and drank some I racked yesterday....did a vigorous forced carbonation.  Damn good!

Drunk as a drunk skunk right bout now.  And I have to get up early...my homebrewer club is making 380 pounds of sausage out in Crown Point in the morning.  Gone be FUN!

...and happy...my boss called my up today totally unexpected (I was like: ruh roh...what did I do now, she rarely ever calls me).  She thanked me for all my "outstanding" work and said there was a nice bonus in my check today.  Cha ching!
