  • Gathering myself a bit, My wife was shopping at Lowes for some plants and other things we need for the house when a store employee approached her and asked her to follow her.The young lady took her to a register at the front of the store where she told her they had observed a man following my wife around the store for an hour as she shopped. She said that she would escort her for the remainder of her time in the store and then security would escort her to her car when she checked out. My wife of course asked to see who the man was. The employee pointed to a man being engaged by the store manager. I will be seeking out that manager to thank him tonight.
@frazzdaddy just a suggestion, get a copy of the video footage and a police report ASAP. Sorry to hear that. Nice someone was looking out for her and she’s ok.

Lowes was all over it. Made a call to some friends @ the sheriffs office. Guy is on the radar now for sure. Going to get lunch for the store on Sat.
Impressive handling by Lowe’s. Glad you and yours are well brother.

Great response on the needed positive from the store's side of the equation.  No comment about the POS other than "lower than whale $h!t!"

Not going to lie. I'm pretty excited. I just purchased Colter Wall tickets. He's playing at small beer brewery tomorrow

Please give us a review if you can. Great artist.
My wife and I had a great time. It ended up being a little over a 6 hour round trip to go see him.

Always a nice time when you can go visit Duluth, MN. Even if it's just a few hours before a concert. Got to see some sail boats come in and out of the port. We missed any big ships coming in/out by about 15 minutes.

Tried a local diner, drive in, and dives for dinner. Good eats. Worth a stop if you ever find yourself in Superior.

The concert itself was at a brewery next to a port on Lake Superior. You can see the ship in the background.

The opening act Summer Dean was great and very personable. She gave out her cell phone number and her address of her house. She said whenever we are in Texas to give her a call or just stop by her house and she'll take us out.

Colter Wall was great. It was definitely about the music. Not much of a show but I can appreciate that. No smoke and mirrors needed. A stripped down concert that I much prefer over some big over the top performance. Very mature and polite for a 23 year old kid. Hell of a voice. I highly recommend checking him out if he stops around your town.

Checking out my latest meat purchase from SRF:

@ smokingal Great minds think alike.  Somehow, I must have ended up with your shipment.  You will do much better justice to those than I can ever imagine.  My first go-round with their short ribs.  Can't wait for Sunday-Funday.
BTW- you take much clearer and more defined pics.  But so does anyone else here.  B)
Enjoy as I know you will.

@lousubcap This is my first go-round with SRF ribs as well.  I do wish mine had been heavier and perhaps a little more even in thickness, but I will make do.

They just recently changed it where you can't see who disagrees or flags a post anymore.

Ahoy-hoy sports fans,  the football (the one that actually uses the foot) is back, back, back.  It seems like forever ago that we* last revelled in the machinations of a bunch of lads running about, falling over and periodically giving the ball a bit of humpty.

It’s game 1 tomorrow and already many are confidently predicting who will be champions and who’s getting relegated., but that shouldn’t ruin the fun.

Just hold in mind the season works like this,

    • no one counts the first few games because apparently the players are getting fit.
    • a manger gets sacked about 5 games in.  Others follow suit throughout the season.
    • The team that lucked out and got in to Europe (Wolves) flatline in October.  And no teams are allowed there from November because some idiots thought it better to not be friends with Europe.
    • December is a collision of far too many games.
    • January is futile because its the transfer window and FA Cup early rounds.
    • 10 teams get safe from March and give up.
    • A few odd details keep interest alive through April.

    But we love it.

    So the matches;

Who know’s?  One of the promoted teams will get a flyer.  Man City will win - because they always do.  Pretty much everything else is pointless to predict as it's still the cricket season.

*that use of the term 'we' is only barely credible, I know, but humour me.  And that ‘u’ should be there, thanks.

Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay
