I woke up at 5am to help cook sunrise breakfast at church. Then hosted a family lunch.  The food was cold burgers, the company and laughter made up for any gourmet meal ever served.  Me and the Miss took a 2 hour nap after everyone left.  I must say a very good Easter!

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Somehow fat fingered the bookmark for this thread. Holy crap, don’t do that.  I feel your pain @Ozzie_Isaac

I rarely see notifications when people respond to me in threads.  I try to check threads I post in, but forget a lot.

The bottom of my screen is steadily filled with popup notifications too.  It was worth it to beat Travis though ;)

Every time I make smash burgers I think of Hank Hill yelling at me.  Am I the only one?

Is that peanut butter? Interesting if it is, may have to try it. SWMBO thought I was crazy when I put an egg on one. But she is a simple east Texas girl.

Yes it is peanut butter.  For your first time, try it with just peanut butter, mayo, and bacon.  That is my favorite way.  Normally I don't add mustard and ketchup.  I won't again.

    Thanks @Focker!

You mentioned tracking down a Berkshire uncured ham a few days ago. I found one at my local Fareway and picked it up. Probably the best ham I've made yet!!!!

Pit 275 until 140 internal, cherry for smoke. Glazed with a mixture of maraschino cherry juice, brown sugar and pineapple juice.

    Awesome!!!!!
These Berkie hams are a top shelf bargain.
You're glaze combo sounds really good.
I'm being lazy with Mexican Coke spritzes every 30 min now and just Mike's Hot Honey at the end. Lol
Spritzing every 30 min is a lot more than i did! Yours looks pretty good!

It was a big hit at the church potluck tonight, only a couple scraps to bring home. A lady who brought another ham thanked me for bringing a "real" ham, and confessed that she ate mine and not hers...
Lol, good stuff my friend.  :)

Yes, it most definitely was.  Alice Cooper cameo as King Herod was a nice touch.

    @northGAcock

I will actually be in Concord, working with clients. (Hendrick Motor Sports) at our R&D/Education facility. Are you going to be in town?
It depends on them. I may be captured by them most of the time, but if I can get away, I will let you know.

I will reach out to you when I know more about the opportunity to escape.

Hope you are healing up. (Suzy remains convinced it was not the result of tripping over the dog, she is adamant that Party gave you a swift kick..... I keep telling her she is wrong, but you know how that plays out.)
