That's how I am now. Old age finally caught me. I ran from it as long as I could though.

@SGH‌ again that was a very long time ago (seems like a lifetime) and at that time I weighed in at 215. Now @ 42 I'm 178-185 with the same waist size and pant size of 32 32.

That's better than creepy Rob Lowe, down at the community pool watching folks swim.

I'm tired just reading about you guys lifting weights.

@anton‌ the only thing I lift these days are my tools, equipment (work), climb up sides of buildings on a vertical ladder well and with a rope to hoist up misc stuff (good workout in itself), my brew and a fork ;)

I'm 50 and weigh 228 with a 36 waist if I really suck it in. It's more realistically 38. I actually got on the juice real late in life. Had been lifting for years before I started it. Got tired of seeing the young bucks making the big lifts.

I also resemble the excessively hairy Rob Lowe....hair curtains seem to get worse with age...

also, this thread has gone WAY off the tracks...

I never could curl or bench press worth a flip. I could dead lift and upright row with the best of them though.

A few weeks ago we were talking about work, today my workout was similar, again the HVAC guys for Walgreens could not get through a roof hatch,(it was shot and the pistons and lock arm were broke, door was hanging by one hinge) so today me and a co-worker hoisted the new 150lb hatch up the side of the building with ropes, then I installed and painted it, whew, it was a workout, I'm still okay with the physical stuff, but I do suffer a lot of back and knee pain because I am a giant lanky dork.

My resolution is to bone SWMBO, get a LeMons car together, lose a little weight and look like the non-hairy Rob Lowe, build an outdoor kitchen, brick "courtyard" style the back of he house....then if I have a little extra time, brisket camp II, build an 80% M4 to 110%, get another cat so we're mo' crazy and finish the steam punk motorcycle. And about a billion other things.

@anton‌ yep! It really sucks when those hatches break on the hydraulic arms and hinges. Especially on a high building with no cage and boat load of tools strapped on your shoulder, keys jingling around to try to figure out which one unlocks the hatch, finally locate the right key ,unlock it, start to lift it and just start to poke your head up and the damn thing bonks ya unforgivingly in the cranium! It's not like ya can let go to go....ouch! Well you could but, like I tell the greenhorns it's not the fall that kills ya it's the sudden stop (oh that and your fired before ya hit the ground :) ).

Occasionally, I still hang out with my brothers on the neutral ground and drink the 40oz bottles of urine (like Colt 45).  We can't forget our roots. But mostly I haul ass by them in a Porsche dangling a bottle of Grey Poupon out the window.

Oh yeah resolutions, let's see here, I am saving my money to buy some rental property so that I can become California's next great slumlord, I am putting a new roof on my current home, trim some trees, (tree company, ain't gonna lie), finish my interior, paint. That's enough.

I'm actually a decent person.  I like people because they are people, not because of their sociological economic status.  I like to troll you rich f*ckers on this egg forum, 1 percent peeps buying your expensive eggs and showing off cooking actual meat.  I usually cook on the engine block of my Monte Carlo or a can of Sterno. But you egg guys are alright.

True story - I was looking for 40's to bring over last week, but the liquor store in the Quarter didn't have any! I miss the Champale from my Chicago days...

I resolve to strive to be a better person.

No, scratch that, I'm perfect in every way.

No scratch that, I'm actually not a very nice person, I just wanted to make a not very witty comment to be included in this thread that obviously turned EPIC last night after I jumped on a bike and rode down to a bar and then came back and didn't log back on the forum. Which I am completely regretting now... The not logging back on the forum that is, the drunk bike riding was a blast.
