I think I already know the answer, but did you really just deconstruct wiper blades to macgyver BBQ accessories??
Nice!!

Haha, I replaced five wipers on two vehicles. Each blade has a easily removable rubber squeezee reinforced by two shiny pieces of what look like stainless steel. In fact both our Honda and Toyota oem blades have the option of replacing just the squeezee, you reuse the steel inserts. The fully disposable wipers have identical components so I thought why not save the steel inserts for kebabs!canuckland

I think it is a great idea and I bet the wiper fluid adds a solid taste to the marinade. I kid I kid. Love the ingenuityColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

Thanks @Chubbs the wiper fluid marinade did cross my mind, honestly!Just got another idea - imagine you're at a stadium parking lot, pull out the wipe steel inserts to skewer some meat and grill on foil-covered engine blockcanuckland

BRILLIANT!
The lead/cadmium alloy doesn't melt on the grill?
Just kidding, good MacGyver trick man!

what a horrible name for a product!
I remember years ago seeing a cookbook for road trips where everything was wrapped in layers of HD foil and stuck down in the engine somewhere near the manifold and cooking times were more like mileage. I'm not sure any cars today have enough clearance in the engine compartment to do that, but it was a funny read.
Love you bro! -

wasn't that the reason the flat head Fords were the traveling salesman's dream car? Start out with a cold roast, potatoes and carrots sitting covered on the manifold and by that afternoon a great meal was ready to be enjoyed away from home! -

We used to put our lunch in foil and tuck it into the ovens in our gas chromatographs at the lab. It would come out nice and hot.
