    I really don't care any more so jealousy doesn't enter into it. I used to follow it a bit, back when UCONN was an up and coming program. Calipari was at UMASS and the two schools were rivals. Couldn't stand him then, still can't. I wouldn't go as far as John Chaney did though... http://deadspin.com/john-chaney-threatened-to-kill-john-calipari-20-years-a-1522430439 

    I know the one and done thing isn't entirely Calipari's doing. But he seems to have made it an art form.

    I remember that Duke game. Great ending. :)

    I was in downtown Lexington, KY that night in '92.  I was a Junior in a small University just down the road from UK and we were out at the Green Lantern to watch the UK - Duke game.  I remember it being a great game until that final shot.......

    The amazing thing about that game is that Laettner did not miss a single shot all night.  Guy was an assassin on the court.  

    I guess ESPN is making a new 30-for-30 titled something like "Why I Hate Christian Laettner"

    Nah. I'll let you know in late March. The stat padding months of November and December don't matter. Kentucky did look good against Kansas, though.

    However, I have to admit that Kentucky looks freakishly good.  I was in the stands for some of their mid-late 1990s NCAA tourney games and those teams were loaded with future pros.  They looked like gazelles when they jogged on the court for warm-ups while the other teams all looked mortal as they plodded around the court.  This team looks better.  That doesn't guarantee them a championship because crazy things happen in the tourney, but IMHO they are the biggest favorite to win a championship that I have seen since the John Wooden days.

    I'm honestly not as big of a fanatic as I used to be in my younger years. I still like UK, but I don't follow like I used to. 

    I do think they have a strong team this year...but Kentucky is known for starting out strong until....

    But anyhow...Go Wildcats !!!
