No Cooks... But Good Times

Tonight I got to spend some much needed daddy daughter time; taking my Scoot on a long over due daddy daughter date. Had a blast shopping with her for a winter coat, something for Mommy, and even something for me... Nothing egg related though, hence the OT

She's growing up; but thankfully not to grown up that she couldn't reach for her daddy's hand... Made me the happiest and proudest guy in the entire mall. I now have the privilege of taking her mother to dinner Saturday night to celebrate 14 years of being partners in crime.

Hoping to egg something on Sunday for the Eagles game LOL... Also hoping to get up for a few hours of early morning shooting this morning, colors are just about at peak.

Just sitting here smoking a good cigar and happily counting my many blessings...

Good times indeed my brother. I'm sitting on the lake fishing with my boys right now. Have one really nice catfish and two crappies in the basket so far.

We gonna be at the lake until Monday. My oldest is 19 so we don't get to spend much time together anymore. He may get sick of me this weekend.

Nice Hap, really nice. Realizing what we learned from our parents often comes too late - took me a long to admit it but I could not believe from the time I was about 18 until I was about 25 how smart my Dad had become - Geez he learned a lot during those six years!

Yeah my dad was a total dumbass until I turned about 25-28 years old.

Amen brother... My dad was never wiser than the first day he wasn't around to ask for advice. Funny how much I miss and appreciate my dad now.

Brother there are a lot of things in life that bring us happiness. Cooking, fishing, hunting and numerous other activities as well. But none of them can equal time spent with a beloved daughter. This is a feeling that I myself know all to well my friend. I wouldn't trade it for anything. As to your fathers wisdom. I can really relate there as well. The first day that I was without mine, I really realized just how much that he had carried me throughout my life. Not financialy, but in the ways that really mattered. Enjoy that time with her Hap, and count it as one of the gifts from above my friend. I do.

Spoken true my brother... Sons are special... But being a dad to a daughter is something I'd reluctantly surrender over my dead body. They are heaven on earth for a daddy...

Please accept my apologies... One shouldn't combine a long week with Sailor Jerry and a favorite stick.
