This is how they are sold in stores around Bostonimage

And what they look like in a bowlimage

I'll cook them at 500-550 for about 10 minutes for medium well, any less and they get a little chewy.... Served with a salad.

Looks wonderful my friend. You said a salad? You were just teasing me weren't you brother Phat? I know you meant served with meat, meat and more meat correct? ;)

@SGH‌ it's the best way to eat them the marinade and vinegar mix together on the salad... Also some nice crusty bread and butter to sop up the juices.

Hey guys - I love cold medium rare leftover steak mixed with salad, bleu cheese dressing and bc crumblies and sunflower seeds! Maybe it's a Mid-Western thing, but it makes a great summer time lunch!

Salad is for grazing. It's what we feed our mules and donkeys. Just saying......

There's a reason we have molars. Only thing that's an obligate carnivore in your home is a cat(if you own one) ;)

    @Phatchris - nice, regardless what @SGH says.

@RRP - Great looking summer salad but was that served with white wine? Savage!
Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Fellows I'm just giving brother Phat a hard time about the salad all in good fun. He concurred with me a while back about being a heavy weight eater and not a nibbler. Just a inside joke between me and brother Phat. Nothing more than just a little harmless fun. On that note: Enjoy your grazing my friends. I'm fixing to enjoy 3 gallons of seafood gumbo, a few dozen grilled oysters and tomorrow morning when unit 6 comes off line I will have 3 packers and a shoulder clod. No grazing going on just this side of a Biloxi my friends ;)

We are omnivores.  Our best diet is a mixture of meat and fruit and veggies.
Our closest genetic cousin, the chimpanzee, is also an omnivore.
Anyone who claims otherwise is ignoring scientific evidence.
As for the cat lover, excuse me, but dogs are also genetically carnivores as is evidenced by the number of cats my dogs have eaten.

Bummer.  Beef jerky is hard to eat if you can't mash it with the molars. :D

That's what my diet is missing, beef jerky smoothies!

So, do you use beer or single malt scotch to make them? :-bd

Much better than stew steak it's flap steak or bavette if you want to be fancy.

@Zmokin, dogs are facultative carnivores while cats are obligate(true) carnivores. Cats do not possess the physiological ability to process non-animal nutrition. I can't really comment on the dog eating cat thing. Last dog that snagged one of my cats is dead.

Try marinating it a few days in a homemade italian dressing, ketchup, and cola, then grilling over hot coals till medium medium well..,. You won't be disappointed.
