PBR had a "huge" brewery" here in nearby Peoria Heights, IL until they closed. They employed hundreds of local folks. When they folded and left people in financial lurch - trust me that PBR sh*t was pure poison in our area!Plus from a personal standpoint my recollection was even different. One of my very first assignments when I started fresh out of college in 1966 with Price Waterhouse & Co was doing what is called an "inventory observation" during the annual audit. That participation took me 2 days, and being the lowest dude on the assignment I was given the worst of the worst locations. I ruined a brand new suit that I had paid $150 for (which was BIG BIG money at that time) plus 2 shirts and 2 ties! Besides that horrible experience I smelt and saw conditions that caused me to never touch another beer for nearly a year...
