Cute pup! Is that a hidden fence collar?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@SmokeyPitt, she really don't require the collar any longer. It is just for insurance.------------------------------

We have the invisible fence as well. It worked great for my first dog but our second dog keeps getting out. We have given up on it for now and just take her out on a leash. So, I have a love/hate relationship with the invisible fence thing.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@SmokeyPitt, did you have the Stubborn Dog collar? My big boy that passed last year was a stud, but boy was he stubborn and hard headed. If he wanted to break through he just did on the standard collar. I came across the stubborn dog collar that uses a 9V battery instead of the 1.5V ( I think). It has 5 levels of correction. His was on 4 most times. When first getting used to it, it was a 5. If the battery died, he would still run out. That is the same collar I have on her right now. I have two of them that I bought from my previous dog.------------------------------

Thanks Matt! I will look into that. I have the DogWatch fence system so I'm not sure it is compatible, but they may have something comparable. Sorry to hijack!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Thanks @SGH. I am sure it is well worth it. Ready to put it through its paces. This will come in handy with the annual fund raiser I help cook for where we sell ribeye steak dinner and have a huge raffle. Average around 265 steaks a year. Last year I cooked 275!------------------------------

I like my Tpen. But if it ever dies (or becomes a doggie treat), I will buy a Thermopop for $20something. Supposedly just as accurate, only a tad slower and backlit.
I paid $24 for my thermapop, it's now $29, but on open box sales it runs $19! It gives temperature in approx 3-4 seconds. I've seen guys say they need it instant for steaks.. I'm sorry, but I have no problem probing and getting temperature of steaks. Dinner last night was a perfect 130°F steak, I lost no arm hair. Thermapop is the way to go.Northern Colorado Egghead since 2012.
XL BGE and a KBQ.

I have the $19 pocket one from thermoworks, works great but takes about 7 seconds and not backlit.
