This little guy is lieutenant Dan. He's a min pin mutt mix no idea what he is. His name is lieutenant dan because when I rescued him he had bilateral hip fractures and was in a doggy wheelchair. He walks great now though but the name stuck! He's my grilling and cigar smoking buddy. He gets many a table scraps despite the wishes of his mommy.

Dogs in the military are more important than a lot of people think .Scout dogs in Vietnam have been credited with saving 10,000 lives . My dog kept me alive and stopped a lot of people from walking into the Sh#t a bunch of times . Shame what the Government did to them at the end of the war.

@sctdg Absolutely MWDs play a huge roll in military. And ya, it was and is complete BS what they did after the war(s). Thankfully they are now trying to set in a system so to speak for MWDs to return with their handlers. And as they are taken out of service giving handlers the option & opportunity to keep their partner.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

@NPHuskerFL our best event we took a 3rd, never really thought we would have a chance with all the faster dogs. Conditions were crazy hot and humid the first day, all day rain the 2nd day. We must be mudders our best runs were in the rain. Thanks for asking!Edina, MN

We just picked up Winston on Saturday. He's a Mini Sproodle. We kicked around a bunch of names, but settled on Winston. Bumpass and Havoc are the middle names I chose for him.

I hate to tell you this but I'm probably the only Englishman who has no affection for dogs. They've just never appealed to me, although we've had seven and a new one now. It's a wife and kids' indulgence and a long story.I think it was Oscar Wilde who said, "An Englishman should have no use for a Frenchman or a dog!"I think I'd rather entertain the Frenchman!:-j
