Getting some Macallan 'Double Cask' for xmas. That's a 12yr and smooth.
Currently working my way down a bottle of Speyside origin single, 18yr 'cask finished'......
I don't know if I'm going to go for more sherry or port 'finished' scotch.
My Johnie Walker will NOT be replaced when gone. But I might get some H&H Pinch or some 18 year Chivas.
Jw Blue is WAY over priced. And the company is now mostly 'name' since they buy from a everyone and blend to suit. -

Speyside can be an acquired taste. I doubt it’s the finishing that is objectionable
