It is not possible to boil water in a BGE. The maximum theoretical temperature one may achieve on a BGE is 211F at sea level. This is below the boiling point of water.

I tried this all weekend long but every time I poured the water into the egg, the damn lump kept going out.Just bought an Egg? Here is what you get to look forward to now:
