Productivity north of the border is taking a pretty big hit with these games going on.  I was joined by many of my colleagues in the boardroom watching the latter part of the women's gold medal game.  During the CBC telecast, they were showing feeds from various bars and the Canadian embassy in Washington.  Once the overtime goal was scored, they quickly showed the reaction in all of these places and, needless to say, everyone went nuts.

I was really glad to see the shot on the open net hit the post, the shot was possible because the linesman backed into the Canadian defence man allowing the pressing US winger to get the puck. Don't want to see any game won that way. 

Overall it was a grey hockey game.

i agree on the penalty calls. however, Canada showed in the last 5 minutes of that game why they have now won 4 straight gold's. they gave USA the onion at the end there.

That was one heck of a game.  Both goalies were outstanding.  Once again, Canada has ground to a halt and you can bet the the gold medal game on Sunday will be one of this country's largest TV draws of all time, even with a 7:00 am EST start.  Best of luck to the Americans in the bronze medal game tomorrow.
