Vendors and products at Eggtoberfest

Hello Everyone,

This will be my first eggtoberfest or any egg event for that matter.  I have preordered my first egg to be picked up at eggtoberfest. I have been doing a lot of research over the past few weeks scoping out some extras that I want like a Table and bbq guru.. My questions is do vendors for these products sell items at the event for a discount?  Part of me wants to go ahead and start getting some of this stuff so it is ready when I bring the egg home but I also do not want to miss out on a good deal if there is one by purchasing it at the event.  Thanks again and please let me know

BGE has had a store setup in the past. I'm sure they will again this year. 2 years ago there weren't any other vendors but last year, there was a handful. So I'm not sure what they will have in store. I'm pretty sure the BGE store will have the Guru and some different styles of tables.

As noted, two years ago, it was only BGE selling things--no competing companies.  I did not get to go last year.

I suggest you just call BGE in Atlanta and ask your questions--any vendors other than BGE?, and will there be discount for on site purchases?

If you need a pit temp controller but don't need Wifi control, I recently purchased the basic Auber pit controller version and have been pleased, about $160 with shipping if I remember correctly.

speaking of buying and such - i need a pair of gloves to work with hot egg setter and such - any suggestions

Mr toad as far as gloves I bought a pair of welding gloves from Home Depot I think I paid like $10.00 and they work fine I found that if you buy BBQ gloves they charge you like $25.00 for basicly the same thing

I agree with Charlesmaneri above also search the web for welding gloves lots out there and cheap. I myself have like 3 pair but I normally on weekends have people help move stuff around. I also use as platesetters.

If Eggtoberfest is like it has been the last few years there probably not be very many (if any) other vendors...come for the great Egged for...you can shop later...  :+))

+1 for the welders gloves from Home Depot. About $10 and work great. However, you need to have a place to set the hot object down before you pick it up.

Ditto on the Home Depot welding gloves. Also check out ceramicgrill.com for their combo rig. So many uses

Big green egg now has some gloves that are very good and worth the money. They are black and I think the same material as the white ove gloves only much thicker. I had welders gloves and they would get hot quickly but the BGE ones are cool for a long time.

plus they are @lizziesamps approved. I miss lizzie. She was hilarious (I'm sure she still is, she's just doing it somewhere else).
