Hope everyone is good. Chilling on the lake this weekend. Life is good. She may be low but beats sitting on the shore :). imageimageimageimage<img

This is the first sharktobearopus I have seen on lake Travis but all was tranquil other than that :). Lake is down 44 feet (all the exposed rock in pic 1 is normally underwater......but we have a new normal now). It's been this way for 3 years and not going to get any better. Still a great place to hang out but dang.......she ain't what she used to be.

Beautiful pics, even with the low water levels. Enjoy the time on the lake, no better place to be. The sharktobearopus is very rare, I thought it might be a Great Brown Octorizzley.
Saw a PBS show about how many of the major wars in this century are expected to be fought over water.... makes you think, eh?

Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

We are at ground zero for water wars. Still a cool place to get to hang out. I'll take what I can get.

So true. TFJ and I were just saying if the cedars would just grow in (they have already started) nobody would know any difference. Still 170 feet at the deepest part but its gone from average of 68 feet deep to an average of 28 feet deep..........yikes.

My FIL brought a USA Today paper with a story about the drop over the last 10 years and how it is screwing up business that depends on the lake(lake front access by boat) because they are no longer accessible via boat. Sad to see.

That....and those pesky sharktobearpi (pusses?) that showed up today. We are screwed.

I laughed at sharktobearopus!  Well played.  I was totally pulled in by the lead up to that photo with Cooper looking all tranquil...and then bam!

    -----------
I feel a whole lot more like I do now than I did when I got here.

That was actually done on the fly. I forgot I had that pic but saw it in my photo roll when I was loading lake pics. We have to get out there soon. The marina is awesome and like a 200 yard stumble from your front door. Went out again yesterday. Greatness
