While the Egg is chugging away, I've usually got a few books on my Kindle. Thought it would be interesting to share what everybody is reading. Kind of an insight into the people we chat with every day. Currently, I've got Tasting Beer, The Complete Joy of Homebrewing and some cheesy sci-fi book that I picked up for free. What are you reading?

Re-reading Stephen King's 'Under the Dome'. Ran out of new stuff on vacation last week, so decided to read it again. So much darker than the TV version, but I'm enjoying both.

I just finished two WWII nonfiction books. One was Frozen in Time, about the survival and rescue of downed planes in Greenland, and the other was Unbroken, the biography about Louis Zampernini. I would recommend either of them if you have any interest in WWII. Fascinating and horrible at the same time.

"Enders Game" which is the sci-fi Harrison Ford vehicle for this early Thanksgiving movie season. Most of my books aren't really thinking books, just page turners.

Make sure you follow it with Ender's Shadow. Parallel story line.

I think I've read every book out of the Ender' s world including the newly released prequels of the Formic invasion. Good stuff. Definitely read the one told from Bean' s perspective.

I read Unbroken earlier this summer.  One of the most unbelievable survival stories that I have ever read.   And I have read a zillion of them since I was a kid and started reading the books wrtten by surviviors of of prisoner of war camps in Viet Nam.

To lighten things up, I am currently reading Radical Brewing by Randy Mosher.

These days I read 99 percent of my books on my iPad. One of the things I like is being able to download and read sample chapters of the books via iBooks. I am currently reading (looking through) The Grilling Book - The Definitive Guide From Bon Appetit and Weber's New Real Grilling. I also have downloaded samples of two other cookbooks: Bobby Flay's BBQ Addiction and Michael Chiaello's Live Fire to see if I am going to pull the trigger.

I used to travel a lot and would read 2 or 3 books a week; almost everything except for sci-fi. In recent years I just haven't made as much time for reading. I do, however, have a 6 or 7 volume set on the American Civil War that I'm meaning to get in to.

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.
