Vegas...
So any suggestions for must eat places in Vegas. First get away with the wife and no kids in about 3 yrs so want to make sure it's good. Especially seen as the wife was the one that suggested Vegas!!

Where ever you go it is EXPENSIVE... At least for anything good. Just went for the first time last month, very surprised at the prices.

Everything on the STRIP is super pricey but you can find some good high end eats as well. My personal favorite in vegas is about 15 minutes from the strip on hwy 93 towards Reno it is called the 4 kegs. great stromboli hole in the wall but you won't break the bank and the food and service is great. I have been eating there for years (I live 2 hours north east in Utah) and if my memory serves me correct it was on DDD.
-
Oh forgot also a guilty pleasure of mine is a BLT bloody mary at hash house a go go in imperial palace.
-
oh and another, breakfast buffet at the cosmopolitan. Delicious and great little price but you get mimosas with it, and on sundays they church it up calling it brunch. I love that city and it loves my money.

Del Friscos

4 Kegs is mint. It was on Tripple D. I think Guy worked there. I love Pink's hot dogs and In N Out Burger as I'm am east coast person who can't get that stuff unless I'm traveling out west.Large Big Green Egg in a nest. North Shore of Boston.

Top of the World at the top of the Stratusphere. Great views and food. Pricey.

+1 on four kegs, it is a DDD spot and has great Stromboli as @U_tarded said. If you have a favorite chef see if they have a place in Vegas and make a reservation. I've been to a few chefs places I like that were on Top Chef Masters and went to Bobby Flays place in Ceasars Palace, Emerils At MGM and his sports bar in the Palazzo, and Mario Batalis Carnevino in the Palazzo and have had great experiences in each place. The Effiel tower restaraunt is great place for brunch and to watch the bellagio fountain. The fun thing about Vegas is there is a little bit of fun for everyone. I also have seen most of the Cirque Du Soleil shows if your interested in seeing any. Have fun!Large & Small BGE, CGW Two-Tier Swing Rack for BOTH EGGS, Spider for the Wok, eggCARTen & and Cedar Pergola my Eggs call home in Edmond, OK.

+1 on Del Friscos, however you can probably buy a Mini Egg for what you will pay for dinner for two with wine and dessert.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA -
Been to Vegas a number of times before but always boys weekends. Even though Saphire shows up as a steak house on your credit card I don't remember eating there... Staying at the Bellagio and doing Brunch there on the Sunday. Thinking about seeing Love @solson005 have you seen it? CheersLynnwood WA

What hotel are you staying at? Some trips it's easier to walk to close by places than hop in a cab. I worked for the FAA and was in the area for 4 months last year and got to do all the fun stuff every weekend. Plus one of my best friends swam for UNLV so he let me in on lots of the local stuff.Large & Small BGE, CGW Two-Tier Swing Rack for BOTH EGGS, Spider for the Wok, eggCARTen & and Cedar Pergola my Eggs call home in Edmond, OK.

@double Love and Viva Elvis are the only two I haven't seen. But one of the engineers I worked with said Love is his favorite Show. If your a beatles fan I'm sure it will be great. Its on my list I just moved to northern California and didn't get to see them all.Large & Small BGE, CGW Two-Tier Swing Rack for BOTH EGGS, Spider for the Wok, eggCARTen & and Cedar Pergola my Eggs call home in Edmond, OK.

+1 on Bobby Flays and emrils. Vegas is unique on its own such a mix of flavors definitely not its own style.
Off topic I don't get the in and out craze it's good but not enough for me to crave it. I swear what a burger in Texas is 10x better -
O is awesome and I highly recommend it, you might even get a discount for staying there. When I saw O I was staying at Planet Hollywood across the street, Koi and the Strip Club are both really good places to eat.I haven't eaten at the Bellagio but Picasso seemed interesting.Large & Small BGE, CGW Two-Tier Swing Rack for BOTH EGGS, Spider for the Wok, eggCARTen & and Cedar Pergola my Eggs call home in Edmond, OK.

@u_tarded I like the fries (well done) more than the burgers but now that I can't go grab one in Oklahoma it probably has gotten better in my mind..Large & Small BGE, CGW Two-Tier Swing Rack for BOTH EGGS, Spider for the Wok, eggCARTen & and Cedar Pergola my Eggs call home in Edmond, OK.

Got all bent out of shape hatring in and out.
The pepper mill is great north strip near the riviera. Strip burger in fashion show mall as well as ra sushi both have great meals and used to have great happy hours (like buy one get one free drinks) but its been a while since I have been there. -
Fair enough well done fries animal style are solid. We have one where I live and the wait is always greater than the reward if you ask me.Solson005 said:@u_tarded I like the fries (well done) more than the burgers but now that I can't go grab one in Oklahoma it probably has gotten better in my mind..

I've noticed a lot of what happens in Vegas gets out of Vegas. You guys would totally fail in Fight Club.______________________________________________I love lamp..

there is a steak place in the MGM that serves a great hanger and flat iron steak......just a little something different from the typical ribeye. twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.

The Range is a top end steakhouse at Harrahs. The bone-in filet and surprise king crab legs are wonderful. There are two bartenders there in their 70s---they pour and pour the best drink in Vegas. The Range has never disappointed.

We got married and honeymooned in Vegas, and the FireFly at the Plaza on Fremont was one of our favorite places. We requested and got a booth that faced the street so we could see everything going on outside. It is a Tapas place. A really nice getaway from the strip. We also loved Delmonico that is owned by Emril, and Aureole in Mandalay Bay.Large BGE Decatur, AL

+Bobby Flays. His steak and burger are excellent. Try to go for brunch if you can. The grits were amazing.
Cheap good eats = Luckys at Hard Rock. Ask for the 777 special (not on the menu). Steak and Shrimp for $7.77. It's pretty good for the money.
Good pizza = Secret Pizza @ Cosmopolitan on the 3rd floor. There are no signs just look for the long hallway with album covers on the wall.
Steak = really really enjoy Craftsteak @ MGM Grand (Tom from Top Chef's restaurant). Their flat iron steak and short ribs are exceptional. In addition, their Monkey Bread is insanely good. It's basically a cinnamon roll on roids.
Breakfast = Bellagio and Aria have excellent breakfast buffets
Spanish food = Julian Sorrenos at Aria. It's a great Tapas restaurant. They have these fries with egg and chorizo that are great and they have excellent paellas.
Entertainment = I've seen the majority of the Cirque Du Soleil shows in Vegas and they are usually great. I recommend O and Ka to start. My other favorite is Mystere.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
El Sombrero Cafe, 807 South Main Street ( a few blocks off of the strip) - Doesn't look like much but has very good Mexican food, at least it did the last time I was there.Cabo Wabo Cantina, in front of Planet Hollywood - At least the one in Lake Tahoe was excellent, don't forget to have a Waborita!I'll be going to both when I get back there in NovemberBrianFairview, Texas
