Wanted one for a long time...but the latest posts pushed me over he edge.
New, Berkel 823E, 9". Really wanted a larger one but I know I would be less likely to drag a larger slicer out and use it.

Sliced a little chedar and it worked great even though they say its not good for cutting cheese. Dont know why. I guess soft cheese might be a problem but reviews say they cut tomatoes and onion with no problems.

Darian,

Mine is 9" too and it's great for everything except bacon. When I fold the whole piece in half it's ok.

I have a 9" Avantco 309. When do bacon (starting a new batch tomorrow), I just cut the pork belly in 1/2 so it will fit on the feed table.

Looks brand spanking new, great score, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I scored one way back when for a song, spent almost as much for the oem sharpener attachment, it's really battered though but still works.

I am right there with you on the size thing. I don't have one but almost had one given to me that was full institutional size. I had no place to keep it....Nice score right there.

dude- home run right there. You can do bacon if you want. Just get them real cold (like almost frozen but not quite) and fold it in half before you slice. It will go through like butter.
