well, didn't find cracker meal today so wasnt able to fix the awesome looking onion rings that @tarheelmatt showed me yesterday ( but I will). I did however have a rack of spareribs to cook. 275 about 4 hours, pretty damn tasty. No plated pics cuz I didnt fix any sides and ate off the cutting board ( yes I'm a pig).

Looks great! You must flip them with those grill marks. I just leave them bone side down the whole time.Jacksonville FL

I usually leave them bone side down but last rack I got distracted and left too long and one side was great and other was too charred. So I started meat side down for bout an hour then flipped and left them alone rest of time.

I have so many cutting boards now I just grab one. I've been helping my neighbor do woodwork and Ive acquired about 5 or 6. He works for an exotic hardwood distributor so gets lots of scraps. Heres my favorite. It was glued and then re-cut into strips and glued back as endcuts in checkerboard pattern.

Also a neat cutting board. Thanks for pointing out the construction process ... that actually yields a relatively easy method to make end grain boards. How is the final flatness of the board achieved?

Cool cutting board, very nice job on the ribs. They look awesome. Did filets and ribeyes tonight, had a group of kids at the table, nothing left. Nothing."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

After they are glued you just run through the planer. You do that on the first gluing and also the second. Then use router to cut the blood trough.

Thanks to everybody for the kind comments. They were some of the best ribs I've made on my egg and I've made some good ones.

Killer smoke ring on those ribs! Those cutting boards are beautiful as well. Nothing like quality woodworking.
