Wait. You don't put beans in chili!? What do you call this dish?
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Have you met our previous Governor, Rick Perry? Wait. That was a bad example...how about Senator Ted Cruz, oh another crappy example...sure we might not have the smartest politicians...but we know about CHILI & BBQ!And, THERE AIN'T NO BEANS IN CHILI!!!!
-
You gonna put that over pasta?
-
Looks good Mickey. I use her blend when in a hurry also. Good to see you made Chile and not some type of Bean stew, or soup or whatever folks call it.You stop making chile when you start adding beans. That is just a fact.Willis Tx.

I've tried chili with, and without, beans, my entire life. I like them both, I'll keep sampling, and I'll let you know my ultimate (and, obviously, Correct) decision. It'll be on my headstone._____________

I have been waiting for this issue to resurface. Please see the recipe card I found on a recent work trip to Dallas:
That last ingredient in Texas Chili is pinto beans. Hmmmm...LBGE

Stew is something I don't eat, it doesn't have a red sauce like chili beans.
the reason i don't eat stew anymore is as a kid I got sick one night after we had stew for dinner.
The throw-up looked the exact same as my dinner, ever since then, I can not stomach eating stew, it looks like I'm eating vomit.
I guess it's a good thing I've never gotten sick after eating chili-beans.

I bet that was even printed in New York City... Someone get a rope! -
I would also point out the "award winning" after party chili from @EggObsessed contains beans. Although in you Texas boys defense her signature line says keep it weird, if I remember correctly.this still looks like hot dog sauce to me.

Mickey said: No beans here.No beans? This is heresy!!!!! The above is akin to "no nudity" at a strip club. Whats the point?

@Carolina_Q Here is the original 2 Years in row award winning recipe.
Go light on the salt, and salt to taste at the final simmer.
If you can't stand the heat only use one serrano

@Carolina_Q I had my butcher do a chili grind on the chuck tender. Worked out better than all the time spent to cube @3/8".
It does get better with time. It is better the next day after sitting in the fridge.
