Thursday Night Brisket, Bourbon, and....

I've pulled the cover far enough to the right that it is no longer "over" the screen. If I am not careful it will put itself behind the screen when I close it. For me it seems easier to operate on the outside but, I can't really see how it would make any difference.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Hapster, I thought I liked you from before. But now that you've posted a brisket, Woodford DO, and a good cigar, I definitely know you're the man! I'm have the same combination going this weekend myself. Have you tried Bulleit Bourbon? It's my 2nd favorite after the Double Oaked.Large BGE 2013; Mini Max 2015; Adj Rig; DigiQ
Ample supply of bourbon and cigars!

You only get so many trips around the sun... Get the best you can afford, and then sometimes blow the budget and just chalk it up to WTF4Runner said:Nice looking brisket. Picked ip bottle of the double oak per your recommendation. $60 but what the hell...live a little, right?

Please explain, did you re-install that way?
My first base on this large was assembled this way. When I got the warranty base last summer for a crack, I did the door the same way. Not sure one way is better than the other.Does it work better..?Nice looking Brisket BTW. -
I don't see how it could ever be better. It looks like someone had to bend the vent door to get the tabs behind the screen. You have to open the screen to adjust the vent, and that sucks. You'll like it better if you reverse it to the right way.Cowdogs said:Nice looking Brisket BTW.
Huh?
My screen stays shut the entire time I adjust the solid vent door. I never had to bend anything to get either to fit.

Oh, it is very purposeful. I need to get stuff done, and I'm spending too much damn time on this damn forum. (and the rent is too high!). So what do I do, get F'd up, (stuff happens) then, in the morning, like any other morning after a particularly thorough batchelor party, experience embarrassment and shame, deserved or not, then go into hiding for a few months, hopefully long enough for all you drunks to forget what I did, then hop back on the forum. Very efficient, actually. So throw down it is. Of sorts.

Can't argue any of that... Sounds like a solid, well thought out plan for inebriated pestering and provoking...nolaegghead said:Oh, it is very purposeful.
