Well, another Egg is in service.  Just made the jump last week from a WSM to the Large BGE.  Looking forward to bouncing ideas off of everyone and learning a lot along the way.

Welcome to the cult, dirty gloves and apron are the uniform of the day. Cap and beer, optional but recommended. They make the food taste better.

Awesome and welcome to the cult. I made the same transition as you did and have never looked back. Like the others said, ask lots of questions and just look around. Most of your answers are in here somewhere.

I bought a Large, and two weeks later an XL planning to sell the Large.  Now I have an XL, LBGE and MBGE.  Like Cen-Tex said, it is an expensive place to hang out.

Congrats. I'm upgrading from a WSM too. I put in a pre order for a demonstration xl egg from the Eggfest at Salter's in PA. This is going to be a long ass 6 weeks I have to wait until I get it. Let me know how you had to change your cooking style from the WSM to the BGE.

Welcome! Its true... the BGE itself is the cheapest thing about the whole affair. But you will save a boatload of $$$ by not dining out as much.

Thanks everyone.  I am located in Rochester, NY.  I definitely know the $ does not stop flowing out with the egg purchase.  As my wife told me the other day as I was spewing ideas for what I want to buy next, "This Big Green Egg is turning into a Big Green Headache".... We are having some friends over Saturday and we are going to do some Pizzas, and then chicken on Sunday.  I will be sure to post some pics.

30 seconds? I've dropped that much with only two words "Hit me" and didn't have anything to show for it.

Welcome!  Is your egg on the driveway?  Remember, to avoid mishap, when moving your egg it's safer to pull the legs than push the top!

Welcome, I to am coming from the WMS too. I do miss the double stack, but I have my eye on the AR to make up the difference. It holds temps better and remember to not let it get to high, its hard to bring back down. I'm cooking steaks on my XL tonight for the in laws. I want a cast iron grate for it no too. Enjoy and I look forward to seeing photos from you.

No it is in the garage.  I did read some horror stories of them tipping over.  I move with extreme caution.  Going to be building a table so that I can store it safely on the deck.
