I was getting ready to turn on The Bridge when I noticed it on Syfy. Stupid science ruined my ability to believe.

By the way, The Bridge is going to be a great show.

I only saw a little of this but it was so bad it was funny. Even better was the 2 headed shark movie afterwards starring Brooke Hogan.
  • If you enjoyed sharknado, I might also suggest "sharktopus" for your viewing pleasure. image

The Spouse loves made for tv awful disaster and sci fi movies.  I actually had to watch that (or a part of it, I took a glass of bourbon out to the pool and hot tub in the middle).  You sir, are correct, that was an awful movie.

We also did Supershark and Swampshark yesterday.  At least Supershark was sort of like an old 50/60's scifi with screaming cuties.

Just read a hilarious tweet from Damon Lindelof:

Just finished my scripts for "Vaginaconda" and "3-Headed Sharkdick Viagravalanche". Casting starts tomorrow morning. #Sharknado

Awesome trailer.  I feel cooler just having seen it.

Damn news.  Reporting the cockpit voice recorder as the pilots names.  Fo' shame.

  • snakes on a plane is in a different class altogether. Better writing, acting, and production value. That should tell you all you need to know about sharknado.

made for tv versus cinema....big difference in budgets, usually.  Tara Reid probably cost $40k.

When "Sharknado" sounds like good work, you might have issues. of course, when your long fall from stardom starts from American Pie, it is a difficult landing indeed.

It started off with that botched boob job...it certainly wasn't her stellar acting that made her a front runner in the number of times she was nominated...for worst actress.

I'm not sure it's possible to overstate just how bad this movie is. I made it through maybe the first ten minutes. I really wanted it to be so bad it was good, but just couldn't make it. In one scene a dude was on the beach, with his leg bitten off by a shark. Except it was clear from the shot that half his leg was simply buried in the sand, and they'd squirted some fake blood all over the place. Good times.

I feel that Sharknado has earned our respect just from the fact that this thread has remained on the first page of the forum for almost 24 hours. Like this topic, Sharknado will stand the test of time. Probably the new Shawshank Redemption.
