I use mustard, and it does not make "a gooey mess". Is it necessary ? Probably not , but have always done it and had fantastic results.3 · -

I got one a while back, so far so good. Had an issue with temp probe being off, customer service sent me instructions on how to calibrate it. All is good now !1 ·
