Alternative Baking Stones

Hello,
I was just curious of anyone has much experience with using baking stones besides the one BGE sells?
Specifically, I have read good things on baking sites about:
The Baker's Catalogue Pizza Baking Stone (http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/items/pizza-baking-stone) and
The Fibrament D (http://www.bakingstone.com)

Most folks just use the BGE stone, which are significantly thicker than most others. Several people have had the Pampered Chef ones break after a few uses.
But there is nothing wrong with trying something different. -
mine is soapstone. been cracked but usable for several years nowfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

The King Arthur stone is very popular and should be reliable. OTOH, some people go to Home Depot and buy unglazed tile squares for less than $2.

I do all of my bread/pizza making on firebrick splits, they can also be used for other things like stacking grids, etc.

I have the Fibrament-D and absolutely love it. It is 3/4" thick like the BGE but holds heat better than ceramic stones. I have one for my oven and one for my egg. I have done bread and pizza on both and they turn out great.
Note: If you buy one for the egg, make sure you get the stone with the metal pan underneath. Called a grill stone.
