It's from New York to Singapore, on Singapore Airlines, and it is in fact a direct flight. There are no stops. It is currently the longest flight in the world.lousubcap said:@JohnInCarolina - Gotta be either South Africa or Oceania. A 19 hour flight is beyond pushing the limits of commercial aircraft. Gotta be a stop or two somewhere...

They do seem to be going to an awful lot of trouble to try to figure out what’s wrong with you. 🤣😂JohnInCarolina said:

As it happens, I have some good friends at NUS and they will be taking me out for a couple of dinners. Not sure about fugu yet, but I'm sure we'll be eating well.GrateEggspectations said:

My cousin worked in Singapore for 3 years. He said that it was either fish or chicken unless you wanted to sell a kidney. His wife hated fish so he got awfully tired of chicken. He was the one with a Doctorate from Cambridge.

@JohnInCarolina - Happy travels, hope all goes well. Some commentary here on long hour/distance flights . . .

I’m sure the protein options are limited. However… Singapore is widely regarded as a city with some of the very best cuisine in the world. So you have to reconcile these two things.Gulfcoastguy said:My cousin worked in Singapore for 3 years. He said that it was either fish or chicken unless you wanted to sell a kidney. Bought a RoboRock Q Revo this week. Had a Roomba years back when we had a German Shepard, and loved the usefulness on a day to day basis. This has a mop feature as well and love the thing after 3 days. Costco had it on sale for $400 after a $100 instant rebate. Given their return policy couldn't see the downside to trying. Almost all of our house is dark hardwood so it shows everything, especially in the kitchen. The vac and mop cycle is all in one go -- vacs from the front mops from the rear. Once it maps the house you can selectively clean rooms. Definitely a keeper.

Picked up these today in the Aldi junk aisle, at $15. I was on the fence. The included dry-erase pen made it a no brainer.

I ran into these at Menards this afternoon. I thought they were maybe on clearance given their price but I guess that's their everyday price. Hard to complain given the price and the Kosmos name.

Frameless shower door needs new weatherstrip at the bottom. Ordered one from Amazon as was unable to find what I wanted locally. Wondering if AI was involved in the packaging decision.

New motor for Amp Research running boards. Wife got one stuck in the down position. I took the motor off to free it up. The board moves freely, the motor is shot

@poster It does both, but I will mostly use it to engrave. I’m mostly doing tests right now, but I’ve got to say it is a pretty cool toy!

They'll deliver it on the 25th which give us time to get the lot ready.
Yes am hoping for brownie pointsFort Wayne Indiana -
What a wondrous experience it is to prowl that section. Pretty sure it is powered by a random word generator, not market forces.dbCooper said:Picked up these today in the Aldi junk aisle, at $15. I was on the fence. The included dry-erase pen made it a no brainer.

We have well established colloquiums for it in the UK;
Middle of Lidl (I assume you have the sibling brand too?), and
Aisle of Shyte - for which you need a grasp of geography as the Isle of Wight is God's waiting room for the well healed just off the coast near Southampton. And a further conceit that the phonetics of the third word distinguish it as just about acceptable as mainstream language.

@CPFC1905 - If the good folks on Wright get tired of waiting on God, perhaps they could enter the races on Isle of Man? That adventure could speed up their demise.And "Shyte" has been added to my vocabulary. Thank you!LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA -
