The AltMill is obviously a 3-axis machine, but I also opted for the rotary attachment which will accept objects up to 4" in diameter. I recall buying a commercial grade 6-axis Locatelli CNC machine (turning precise MLB baseball bats) for orders of magnitude more back around 15-18 years ago.
You will reap the initial investment if you stay the course.
