Picked up a few boom sticks and keeping my eye out for an LMT Mars-H.  Got bit by long range game last year and want to build something reliably capable of 1200 yds.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

The .338 is an intriguing caliber, but I want this build on an AR10 platform so .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor are what I am planning on.

Any particular reason why you’re set on AR-10? Bolt guns a lot more accurate than semi-auto.

Been shooting my BiL’s bolt gun out to 1500yds (max where we shoot) and his semi-auto out to 1200 (that extra 300 yds is f’ing hard).

I enjoyed the Semi-Auto more, open to bolts in the future.

LMT a good choice for AR platform. I’d look for MWS. AR-10, quick barrel change capable. Can have 308 and 6.5 in a matter of minutes. I’ve got one of their AR-15’s in LM8

It's 44'10". We have a lot on the water and she wants a larger trailer. I think it's kinda like keep with Jones's syndrome 😅 bless her heart.

My 6.5 Creed does the thousand pretty easy. Max distance that I have to shoot! My buds are into the 6GT. Both are low recoil and affordable to shoot, especially if you reload. Good luck!
I drink cheap beer so I can afford good bourbon.

If by "we have a lot on the water" you mean boats at various marinas, and that's where you're driving, I'll give you a pass.  If I'm stuck behind you driving up a mtn pass at 15 mph, I shall continue to curse you and your progeny with great vigor.

@MasterC - great camper right there.  Reads like a buy it and park it to replace your existing rig.  Regardless, enjoy.  That's a serious sized party rig right there.

Exactly what I thought. Either that, or he finally decided to stop trolling us with the blurry pics!

    Beautiful @fishlessman Got a new phone/camera?

that was from my old indestructible 3g flip phone.  you have to go 5g they said, we will replace your phone with an upgrade they said......went as good as going from the old copper land line that worked during a power outage to the new fiber optics that lasts on a battery for 30 minutes when the lights go out.

Well now we know that the blurry pics were due to gin and tonics, not old equipment.

Travel pants.  Have a 19 hour flight to take next week.  Joy of joys.

@JohnInCarolina - Gotta be either South Africa or Oceania.  A 19 hour flight is beyond pushing the limits of commercial aircraft.  Gotta be a stop or two somewhere...
