"Commander Tom show" every day after school.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
  • If I am one of the ones you are referring to, @lousubcap, this was Mont Tremblant - a ski resort area several hours NorthEast of us. Didn’t get pics, but several great meals were enjoyed, including raclette, some mexican dishes, tortellini soup and a whole beef tenderloin cooked on the gasser. Lots of great beverages on offer as well.
We spent a February ski vacation there when I was a kid, maybe 12 or so.  That was the coldest I ever remember skiing on a mountain.  I want to say the temps were something ridiculous, like -25F.  We had to wear masks that fully covered our faces to prevent frostbite.  I love Montreal but man could it get cold in the winter.  Brrrr!

Hope it was a little warmer for you all and that the conditions were good if you did some skiing on the mountain.
That’s a ski adventure you will not forget.

Temps were only as low as about -15C (not counting wind chill, if you believe in that sort of thing). Opted not to ski this time around.

Early Sunday morning, we lost all power between about 5am and noon. The place was getting pretty cold, so I stoked the fire to try to generate some heat. Then we drove home in freezing ice conditions yesterday. Some sections were like a skating rink and we saw about a dozen cars in the ditch on the return.

I feel your pain. Sounds almost exactly like our weather this past weekend - We dipped down to about 31 deg at night while camping. Brrrrr!  Luckily was only a brisk 60 during the day.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Sounds like a fun trip, glad you got home unscathed, it was icy here too the past few days.

I won’t get started about all the hot air you’ve been sending us.

It’s been awful, hasn’t it. I pulled out my heavy coat for work this morning.
