rewrote the code to build playlists on my music server so that a track in a playlist no longer appears twice in searches as the same album but now shows once for the album and once for each playlist which contains the track.
Minor annoyance, but I hated doing a search for an album based on a track and having it show up multiple times, and then pick the wrong one, getting the playlist instead of the album I wanted to hear.~~

Finished my first week at my new job. I didn’t realize just how toxic that place and how miserable it made me. Couldn’t be happier.Midland, TX XLBGE

I also started a new job this week - having to wear pants all week was kind of stressful.Hook_emHornsfan_74 said:Finished my first week at my new job. I didn’t realize just how toxic that place and how miserable it made me. Couldn’t be happier.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

When I retired I had my first great night of sleep in ten years. Still had some horrid dreams (as in waking up covered in sweat, and yelling) for a few months, but eventually those faded too.Hook_emHornsfan_74 said:Finished my first week at my new job. Had a few invites to interview for outside jobs from former coworkers, but I never responded. I'm not super-wealthy, but will never go back to work. I'm much more happy now.“The best way to execute french cooking is to get good and loaded and whack the hell out of a chicken."

I still meet up with a couple of technicians who worked for me weekly at breakfast. But not any of management. I burnt that bridge rather thoroughly a month before my scheduled retirement and for legal reasons won’t get into the details.

Great news and well done for getting away.Hook_emHornsfan_74 said:Finished my first week at my new job. I didn’t realize just how toxic that place and how miserable it made me. Couldn’t be happier.
Despite my many voyages around the sun I got drawn back in to that. Only when I took on a new project recently did I notice that;
- my working hours returned to reasonable,
- my persistent heart burn receded
- I wasn't waking up thinking about work, having gone to bed thinking about work.
I like working, I like the company I'm with - but now having stepped away slightly I can see that it was the emotional behaviour of my boss that was driving the anguish. I kind of knew that, too - and they are one of those who is often correct int heir view but fails to take anyone with them.
Maybe I'm just a big old softy but I put people first and will take a hit on strict adherence to my ambition, if the group come with me.
Not sure why I have shared all that on the Egg forum?
Rest assured, I'll revert to soccer-ball and defending the condition of the average UK roof now.Other girls may try to take me away

How sweet it is...a very positive cash flow and bourbon outcome to that one.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Home and safe. Hope everyone had a happy holiday party weekend. Let the bourbon and other stuff flow.

I think we were at 3F this am. No more snow predicted in the near future and highs above freezing in sight. That should take care of the roads. Need to roof rake a few structures before this warm up happens.lousubcap said:It's cold out there. At 9 AM today L'ville was at 7*F and Anchorage, AK 13*F.Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

This morning I had to see my Dr. for a physical required by Medicare, and it included a "Mental Cognition" test; it included memorizing some words, counting backwards, counting the months backwards, etc. By the end of the test the nurse was bug-eyed; she reached out and shook my hand, and said, "In US history only one other person had completely aced this test, Congratulations!" She told me the Dr. would be in shortly and left.
My Doctor burst into the room and shook my hand, "WOW, the nurse just told me! You're only the second guy to do this!" He started going over my records, and there was a knock on the door. Several other Drs and nurses were crowded around the door, "That's him? Wow!" They all congratulated me and shook my hand, it kinda got a bit embarrassing.
So, anyway, that kinda brightened my day; I can even skip that test next year, I did so well!
