You know the king is worried when he releases the Epstein files to distract from how bad his last few weeks have been.

i see this playing out two ways:

1. He really isn’t implicated and it is all proven to be blown out of proportion - in which case he gets a huge boost in trust and confidence from his base.
2: he is implicated and his authoritarian grip loosens and republicans start self preservation for mid-terms and undo everything he has been doing.(I.e. they actually start doing their job and protecting the constitution and the country)

and no matter what a portion of the MAGA crowd will ignore it all and just kiss his ass and pray to him as their savior.

Lots of them have already come to that conclusion, they just believe Harris would’ve been far far worse. There is likely nothing that will ever move them off that strongly held belief.
