One of my biggest regrets - I was voting for incompetence, gridlock, and tax cuts.  Assumed he was so batshit crazy that pretty much nothing would happen because there were other adults in the room.

Clearly, I was wrong.  Mid-Terms cannot come soon enough.  Hopefully there will be an election in 2028 (assuming we are still here as a country).  Will be a cold day in hell before I vote for a republican again.

I voted for who I thought was the lesser of two evils in 2016.  By 2020 there was no way I could again vote for CHEETO.  Same in 2024.  This was all advertised in Project 2025.
For me Stephen Miller is the biggest worry.  
Bend the knee and kiss the ring-requirements for job security.  Never mind the oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic...

A post I made yesterday the the OT Forum:
"In a moment of clouded clarity MSM (either side) does not lay out the hard facts.  There is a clean CR passed by the House (why not go on vacation) sent to the Senate to fund the gubmint thru 11/21.  The Senate needs 60 votes to pass the bill (aka some D's).
The D's are locked out over health care language/funding that expires 12/31.  
Now vs 12/31?? I'm missing the picture here. "
And yes the health care issue needs to be resolved but not by holding the gubmint hostage.

Yes, they would need to kill the filibuster to do this, but ask yourself why they haven’t done that already.  It’s not because Trump loves the filibuster and thinks it’s the world’s greatest invention, discovered by his uncle who was a professor at MIT.

The air controllers will control when the shutdown is over.   When travelers don't safe flying (and landing) they will have the yank on oneside or the other to stop it.

was in altanta not long ago, the folks running the tsa lines would be a great start sir, i said to hold that wild crazy squirmy puppy between your elbows while i gun powder check your hands, then followed up with, you act like this is your first tsa check.   that line seemed like 2 hours long, the boston check line was under 5 minutes

I put loads of little baggies of baking soda, sugar, flour, Ajax, etc throughout my bags and pockets.  It’s worth a laugh and makes things more interesting.

i just had a urine soaked puppy. atlanta sucks more than laguardia even with the murder scene i came upon with a large pool of blood and a bullet ridden car. i can see johns problem though with atlanta being his home flight in and out

Unpopular opinion, I just flew home from Laguardia several weeks ago and it was very pleasant.  I was worried due to everything I had heard.  I am flying to Austin this weekend to see my buddy who has cancer.  Hoping that ATC works out.

i dont hold anything against laguadia, it was along time ago. back in the 80's and it was more  like...look at that. just part of the experience of nyc. that day i saw a murder seen, a car get gifts stolen from the smashed window in back on park ave, and a gang of young adults beating up 12 yo punks in harlem. at the time i thought it was all par for the coarse atlanta though was a pain in the arse with the lines

I lucked out in Atlanta - some TSA agent took pity on my family - we were lost and standing in a line that looked about 4 miles long.  He opened a side door, motioned to me, and we all slide through.  It was some private screening line and we breezed through on 5 minutes.  Now Hertz at Atlanta was another story.

ATL does an amazing job pushing through 110,000,000 passengers a year given that its design is geared towards ease for the airplanes rather than making it super convenient for passengers. When you live here, it is a pretty convenient airport considering how many places you can fly domestically and internationally non-stop.
