    Well said - I have a good friend who was “arrested” in a grocery store parking lot by 3 cars and multiple ICE agents.  He was forced, without any representation or explanation, to sign a document saying he would not fight deportation and would not come back for 3 years.  He has since been deported back to Australia.  He overstayed a 3 years Visa by 2 weeks.  He was a horse trainer here, no criminal record.

    (edit: he was trying to get it renewed but courts are back logged and he was working on getting the money together to fly back to Australia to reset the timeline)

    Have another acquaintance who had a lawyer lined up and emergency numbers in case he was arrested while going to the court to finish his naturalization.

    This is not the USA I want to live in.  Charlie Kirk was objectively racist and misogynist.  He isn’t a saint.  TPUSA, his legacy is also an anti-patriotic, anti-freedom, hate filled organization.

    Equality and freedom look like threats to the oppressor’s power and privilege.
    If Joe hadn't saturated the USA with illegals then the courts wouldn't have been backlogged. Just saying!!

    I think it’s our King arresting legal US citizens, deporting people who are here legally, ICE having no oversight or due process, and ICE arresting anyone who happens to not be white that is causing issues.  Just saying!!

    This isn't new. Also not partisan, but wouldn't it make a great tv ad for Canada to run during the World Series?

    Please tell me how this population has negatively affected you or your way of life, I'm seriously interested. I grew up and have lived in many communities that had significant immigrant and presumably undocumented immigrant populations. I went to school and played sports with them. I worshipped in church with them. I also know I worked with them and volunteered with them.  So I haven't seen for myself all of the negative impact of this group, I suspect the past several administrations haven't either.  Would love to hear your side of the story.

    Rough estimates by administration:
    Reagan (1981-1989):
    • Estimated undocumented population grew from ~3 million to ~3.5 million
    • However, 1986 amnesty legalized ~2.7 million people
    • New entries: ~3-4 million over 8 years
    • Percentage: ~50-60% of the post-amnesty population
    George H.W. Bush (1989-1993):
    • Population grew from ~3.5 million to ~5 million
    • New entries: ~1.5-2 million over 4 years
    • Percentage: ~30-40% of population at end of term
    Clinton (1993-2001):
    • Population grew from ~5 million to ~8.5 million
    • New entries: ~3.5-4.5 million over 8 years
    • Percentage: ~40-50% of population at end of term
    George W. Bush (2001-2009):
    • Population peaked around 12 million in 2007, then declined slightly to ~11 million
    • New entries: ~3-4 million (peak years 2004-2007, then decline)
    • Percentage: ~25-35% of population at end of term
    Obama (2009-2017):
    • Population remained relatively stable at ~11 million
    • Border crossings declined significantly, especially in second term
    • Net entries: ~1-2 million (lower due to increased deportations and voluntary departures)
    • Percentage: ~10-20% of total population
    Trump (2017-2021):
    • Population remained around 10.5-11 million
    • Border encounters were lower (except surge in 2019)
    • Net entries: ~1-2 million
    • Percentage: ~10-15% of total population
    Biden (2021-2025):
    • As discussed: ~3-6 million estimated new entries
    • Percentage: ~20-35% of current population
    Key trends:
    • Biden saw the highest percentage since the 1980s
    • Obama and Trump had the lowest percentages (more enforcement, fewer entries)
    • The 1990s-2000s saw consistent high levels
