Kind of hoping for a Jays/Mariners match up ...  Around here many heads will explode in excitement (or angst about travelling).

No mercy. We pay for this annual browbeating handsomely. Global food safety lol

auditor just told us Boar’s Head debacle has proven this program flawed. A re-work is on the way!

Well the Mariners have beat the Tigers in every game this season when they faced our ace, Skubal.  He pitches tomorrow.  Also in Game 2 of the ALDS, their Palanco (sp?) hit two homers off him in the same game.  I am hoping for a Tigers victory and that the bats stay hot after being cold for so long.

Which one did you get?  There’s some interesting value choices with the current lineup.

Way to show the inspectors that you operate a solid facility every day, independent of gearing up for a planned inspection.  Congrats for fostering an environment where your employees care about their jobs.  A real challenge these days.
Edit-all that with a sympathetic busted wheel.  Bonus points!

If I wanted a phone that worked I would have gotten one years ago. Headed to the camp with no reception.  Doesn't work at the house either.....it's perfect

Thanks for the kind words. Implementation of the new standards was the hardest part. Once the employees get used to it and you preach it enough, it becomes old hat. They proved to us this week that the monthly meetings were fruitful. We will continue to preach food safety standards as it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, only evolving

    ^^^^^^This is a nice feel good story!^^^^^^

Brought back a fond memory - (albeit not very closely related other than figuring out how to win):

Some friends and I were probably 15, staying at a hotel near Cedar Point (Roller Coaster Park in Sandusky OH).  They had a Lethal Enforcer Arcade game off to the side.  Well, the coin collector forgot to lock it when done collecting.  With the open door, we were able to trip the coin lever as many times as we wanted.  We beat the game!  :-)

^^^ That takes me back to England in the 70's when I was a student there.

The public payphone's coin slot had a spring loaded lever that would bounce back after swallowing the coin, occasionally I would find one where the lever would not travel far enough to swallow the coin. An uninitiated bloke would walk away, thinking it was out-of-order. For me? Jackpot! I would wrapped my thumb with heavy padding and push the coin hard and fast, the coin comes back and the quick jab registered the payment. It was great for long distance chats with my gf  :)

@CPFC1905 @Stormbringer Are you old enough to remember those phones?

It's Friday, time for a totally totally OT distraction...
Watching our little guy wearing this hat the other day brought back fond memories of a summer day long ago

I figured out a hack to beat the coin toss game at the carnival. The secret? I threw the coin gently at the prizes (all tall hats) hanging above the plates, it would slide off the brim and drop vertically, with a good odds of landing on a plate and stay after a few localised flips/bounces. My success rate was about 1 in 2-6 attempts IIRC  =)

I restrained myself after winning three, one for each kid 🧒🧒🧒

would this be considered cheating even though the carnivals cheat too=) was just reading that the bluejays have only one canadian citizen on the team, i think thats cheating too but they took down the evil yankees and thats where its at

In college there was one slot on one vending machine that had Snapple’s for $0.15.  Pop in a quarter, get a Snapple and change.  Was great.  I drank enough peach Snapple for a lifetime.  Was like that for 2 years that I know of.

In high school we had a vending machine with a dollar slot, kids would use packing tape right on the edge of the dollar.  Feed the dollar, till it registered then pull the dollar back out through the rollers.  That machine didn’t last long.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

@fishlessman Don't tell @Battleborn VGK is cheating for having Canadian players doing the heavy lifting 😂
Also, no rule that says you have to toss the coin directly at the plates.
