Celebrating as a good friend has been selected as one of 10 astronaut candidates announced earlier today.  Over 8,000 initial applicants.  LEO is a definite and fueling for escape velocity highly probable.

Wide awake @ 3:42am Tuesday (last sleep induced in surgery at 7:30am Monday morning).
9mm and 8mm kidney stones blasted and hurts like hell to pee. Two stents to be self pulled Friday.

This is my second surgery  as two years ago i had 3 and traveling (Colorado Springs) one put me to be blasted and they said do the others back in Texas. Spent a couple of days in the hospital with that and much better drugs.

After two years my surgeon here suggest we could just do the larger one and come back for the one that hadn’t dropped later. I did ask this morning if it would hurt more and he said yes. One vs two stents in today. Not feeling i made the best choice this past 18 hours.

    Anyway that’s what I’m doing…..

Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

I feel your pain.  I went through that this summer.  I had 1 almost the size of a golf ball and 4 the size of green olives.  Two operations later I am finally pain free.

Here’s a food safety PSA. I’ve had kidney stones and I’ve had salmonella. I’d take kidney stones all day every day.

    That’s how bad salmonella is.

Dislike is mine - that really sucks, hopefully they were able to patch it up and you will have a full recovery.

The health department has been after me to abandon this well that we no longer use. It turned out to be a much larger project than the well drilling company anticipated. They have to first pull this tank out and then pull the well if possible.  My understanding is that the well is 280 ft deep.

Your opening salvo into this bone break was well over a year and a half  ago.  This should have been straightforward to get right, first go round.
You may have a some legal /medical challenges here to work for your deserved benefit.
Better to be lucky than here-Broke the fibula at the knee and ankle ( very rare event according to the ortho) in late November-no surgery, no cast, a driving boot (right leg).  Declared victory in mid January.
A do-over sucks any time but especially given the duration.
    Good luck with this one.

Quite the project. Hope they’ve got the area cordoned off. Makes me think of Nutty Putty cave. *shudder*
