Nice haul! I have used a melon baller to take out the top 1/3 of the pattypan and stuffed the opening with low fat sausage and egged them direct 350° for 30-40 min. Served with pasta sauce. I cook food for my dogs so the scooped out part just gets cooked for them.

Finishing up my Dad's Christmas gift that turned into Father's Day gift. (I purchased a Raptor liner spray kit for my Dad but had yet to find the time to complete the task.)

I stole my Dad's truck from my parents garage while they are out of town visiting my sister. I grabbed it Thursday afternoon and have picked away on it when I could find some time. A softball tournament didn't help any this weekend. So it was some late nights and early mornings. I can see why Line-X wants $6-700 to have it done.

The box was in really good shape as my Dad has had a bed mat in it since new. My Mom was tossing in stumps and limbs in it the other day. I figured it was time. I almost felt bad taking a nylon brush cup to scuff it up.

After scuffing it up.

Acid etch primer.

And finally done! (The light and shadows don't help any for a picture.)

I'll call it a win or maybe beginners luck! It's all about that prep. Endless prep with this bed. I couldn't get myself scuff and hide under the bed rail. Most bed liner companies will scuff under the bed rail but won't hit it with liner afterwards as it's hard to reach and most people don't think to look or notice. I did the complete opposite. I took way too much time masking and sanding up to my tape line for something you'll never see under the bed rail. No need to remove the paint under the bed rail as it will never see abuse there. Most of these bed liner shops will just leave it exposed under the bed rail that eventually turns into rust. This picture is pretty much looking straight up under the bed rail. The picture is a little deceiving.

I'll sneak the truck back up to his garage before they get home. I'm glad to be done. I'm going to stick to giving pockets knives to him in the future!

I don't disagree.

I did once try to suggest to SWMBO that indeed she was the lucky one.
Two things happened simultaneously;
- the temperature in the room fell by half instantly
- the ensuing silence was astonishing in it's duration and excruciating in it's intensity.
