New hydraulic hoses for the dump box cylinder on the Kubota. The Kubota dealership makes new hoses on the spot.

One was leaking. Constant drip even when parked/off.  I figured I would just replace both.

Water repair. Customer backed into the water spigot at 6:00 in the morning.  After I was done working on the hydraulic hoses I noticed a river running through a section of the campground.  I guess he took his travel trailer for a joyride last night?  Tried kicking him out. The cops have been here twice. He barricaded himself in the camper. Waiting for him to get his camper off site so that I can call in an excavator to dig down the 6 ft required.  I'm fixing the access tube for his water shut off as it was filled with rocks and dirt.  I was able to isolate just that site.

had one go on a 70 ton jack last week, good thing the guy using the jack was wearing glasses. he was literally soaked head to toe with hydraulic fluid. that jack has a big recoil type spring so it emptied everything at him.

    Urinal drain
    Learned about closet spuds

    Shower drains
    Gross

    Bathroom sink faucet
    Stupid

I fixed all without calling a plumber. I assume I made myself over $1,000.

Taking shape nicely. I am intrigued by all those wires coming out of that outlet in your second pic. Could you enlighten us!

Lol soooooo I'm kind of a nerd, the house is wired now for a 48 port ethernet switch, each room has 4 ethernet cables ran to it plus 1 coax. The coax will be for the antenna in my attic connected to a 8 way splitter/booster. Also I pre wired for a 11.2 stereo setup in the living room, ohh and 1 fiber cable running from laundry to that spot just in case.

If you believe me I have 1km of ethernet cable ran on my property according to my math.

Thank you, every step of the way I contact someone to do it for me. Everytbing costs thousands and I end up just doing it myself lol.

No one will do as good a job on your house as you will (nor as cheaply), provided you educate yourself and apply the knowledge accordingly.

    Good on you.

Fixed wife’s Bronco windshield washer fluid pump. Actually replaced it. Cost me $2 after using Ford points. Dealership wanted $300 minimum. Interwebs have videos on how to. Took me a little over an hour, majority of it was removing fender liner without taking off the passenger front tire lol. All to find out the pump wasn’t bad, but clogged. Changed it anyway.

Replacing my newest tire. Standing water was hiding the end of a curb and gutter and now I have a bubble on the sidewall. I will be glad when this fashion of big wheels and skinny tires is gone.

Freshing up the snowmobile trailer. All new wiring throughout the trailer. I cleaned, soaked, and packed the wheel bearings with new grease. I painted the wood floor portion of the trailer, and the end clamps. I even went and registered it. (I bought it without a title years ago and the VIN was never registered during the previous owners ownership. I was able to register it as a homemade trailer.) Now it's 100% road legal. Now I can't catch any flack if I were ever pulled over while using the trailer.

After riding in a wet muddy Gravel Race this weekend bike was filthy, after cleaning I noticed the drive train was not turning worth a #$%^.  I did notice about 8 miles in (of 31) a grinding sound that I took my water bottle and sprayed the rear cassette and derailleur to try and remove the mud I just went through... no real luck at the time but as the race went on it seemed to shed the dirt.

Anyway I dont see anything but I drop the chain from the Chain ring and check bottom bracket and its fine work my to the Rear D and the Idler pulley is hardly moving.

Pull it off and its gunked up pretty well.  Disassemble, clean and lube back up and works like normal.  I imagine that I rode 23 miles or so with 3x increased resistance... no wonder my legs felt like Jello when I got off the bike.

Apparently it's the heat and coffee oil that mess up the plunger, will be interesting to see if it works in your case.

Thanks Cap, mineral oil isn't my idea, but I figured the pressure should help 'infuse' the rubber with oil better, and prolonged SV would heat it more gently and evenly.

Fellows let me offer you some sound and free advice along with some supporting evidence. This is why you DO NOT buy a wooden boat unless you have unlimited money and/or a true boat carpenter. Unfortunately im neither.

Not technically a “fix”, but I love me some maintenance. Both of these pairs would probably be absolute garbage were it not for the upkeep. Even then, I am really pushing the lifespan - I think I’m 10+ years on both pairs. Love the (Canadian-made, leather-soled) boots and have two backup pairs in reserve. Now discontinued. Wore them in heavy rain while trimming trees last year and was told by a witness they’d never recover. They’ve even been subjected to winter and lots of salt. Anf yet they persist.

I really need to do some leather maintenance to my sleepy hollow chair.  Shoes/boots look great!
