My initial review of the Woodford Double Double Oaked-Taste points about the same as the double oaked, lacked any noticeable and distinctive finish. Glad I did it once but not again. FWIW-

Just bought a bottle of single barrel of four roses 100 proof so
I really wasn't in need of another. I happened upon this four roses single barrel oesk 100 proof that peaked my interest.
Tried tasting side by side, single and oesk are both pleasing to the pallet but the oesk is more complex fuller feel and easy finish
If you like four roses single barrel I highly recommend it $45 a bottleFort Wayne Indiana -
Picked this up via r/bourbon's weekly offering. Definite hints of chocolate in the aroma. Some heat
on the front end - not unexpected for 114.6 proof.

Agreed - I picked up the KC12 and a bottle of Midwinter Night's Dram at the same time I bought this one. Of course I didn't tell SWMBO what I spent on those 3 bottles.ColbyLang said:

Our Easter cocktail was supposed to be fruit loop martinis, but everyone hit the wine so hard they never got made, so now it is my evening fun.
-
Gotta admit- Fruit Loops in any cocktail would be a first. Looks like milk shake. Likely the sugar really changes the flavour (nod). For the record for me a martini is gin based.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. I’m not usually a vodka martini or a sweet drink fan, but these are surprisingly good. Might be a weird nostalgia of not being allowed sugar anything at home as a child and getting Fruit Loops when we stayed with grandma. I’m usually a bourbon/whiskey neat person or Negronis or GnTs once it gets hotter.

I opened this last weekend. If you enjoy rye, check out Sagamore. They have great rye at a reasonable price.
