Almost done now other than a couple trim pcs. I have a rolled angle ring that will drop into the existing hole to pretty that up too. Just gotta steal it off my old table when the weather permits.
That's a great looking table and knowing your environment it's sure to last!

Lol ya. Not much steel in this one though, but the stainless was plenty expensive enough.

Edit: nevermind, looks like stainless has tariffs too, thought it wasn't included

stainless has gone crazy in the last 6 months, kinda doubt its with the tariffs though with canada. i remember last summer that some of the big mills over seas where slowing down production out of fears that manufacturing would slow down this spring.

No, I have no idea either why the mighty Eagles are not playing this weekend, and then it’s the international break - so in fact the question is, how do I cope?  The ‘also rans’  are playing, so let’s take a spin through this round of encounters which will simply affirm all we have learnt already.  And for clarity that’s; Liverpool have it in the bag, the bottom three are going down, Man City, Man Utd and Spurs remain ‘languishing’ in variously improbable league positions.

    Saturday

Everton v West Ham, eight games undefeated for the Toffees and the Hammers are really not the lads you’d call upon to avert the ninth. 1-0, classic Moyes.

Ipswich v Forest, the Tractor boys show glimpses in every game but fails o convert that to points, while their guest just seem to keep the boiler stoked. Initialy close but ends with comfortable away win. 0-2

Man City v Brighton, sadly the filthy Seagulls have found reliable form and are back nudging against the top tier.  No one can’t trust cIty to turn in consecutive positive results. Way harder to call than I would prefer, but duty requires me to declare a home win, 2-1

Southampton v Wolves, you wonder what the point is for Saints now.  Save the pant and do this one on Zoom. 0-2

Bournemouth v Brentford, both teams are in the doldrums having mounted serious runs toward the higher echelons. Feels a bit like draw, so 1-1

    Sunday

Arsenal v Chelsea, second host fourth but to no great fanfare.  Almost all results almost make no difference. Gunners without a win in the last three, Chels’ have back to back wins behind them, so 1-2.

Fulham v Spurs, no luck in these teams’ respective lower mid-table positions. Both are hoping to salvage something from the season but identical form across the last 10 matches suggests a draw, but given this is Spurs it could be a several dozen goal extravaganza. Meh 2-2

Leicester v Man Utd, should be a routine away win, even for Utd. 0-2

That’s your lot, lads.  Don’t forget Super Saturday in the Six Nations - can England really dare to dream? Not really as Ireland will whack Italy.

Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

Thank you as always.  With that said, I find that I don't have my usual enthusiasm today because Crystal Palace aren't playing - no... wait... that's not it.   =)

Maybe it's because, as you point out, there isn't really much point to many of the matches as the final results are largely determined.  It might also be because the most important issue in the sports world is determining if Cooper Flagg will be ready for the NCAA tournament as March Madness is upon us.

The only insight I might offer is that I think we are seeing the benefits of Chelsea having a massive roster as we get toward the end of the season.  The level of energy is always higher when you have more players who are competing for playing time and you can sustain injuries without much drop off in quality.

The "Great Timing Gods" normally hate me, but every once in a while they smile down.
The chain-link fence across the back of my property had some trees growing up along it, on both sides of the fence.  I should've gotten them cut down last spring, but pulled my back and it never happened; didn't look so bad but was a pain to mow around.  This spring I knew I had to get in there before things started budding, reserved a chainsaw at the local Home Depot but it snowed the night before.
This morning I looked at the weather report and it looks like next Tuesday will be the only day snow-free and not raining, so I reserved another HD chainsaw.  This afternoon there was a knock on my door, the local power company, and they wanted access to my back fenceline to cut down the trees that would eventually interfere with the power lines above.  Sweet!
They cut everything down, including two trees that were maybe 6 feet away from my fence that I wanted to leave (for eventual shade) but it is what it is.  They dragged everything out and chipped it all up, hauled away.  Sweet!  Every once in a while, They smile down.

I do have one question for any arborists we may have on the forum.  The small tree trunks/shoots that were all cut, turned a beautiful but unnatural blue:

At first I thought they sprayed the stumps with some kind of herbicide, but I can see that some of the chips to the right from the chainsaw were also blue (and I couldn't see any overspray).  Any idea if this is natural?  (the trees are cottonwoods).  tia.

Never seen that blue thing.   Buy some lye, I think can only buy food grade now. Drill a hole down the center and add lye to kill it.   Then make pretzels with the lye

Surveying the damage from this morning's hail storm.  Most intense I've experienced since moving here 27 years ago.  (Skylights held-trying to get a good look at the roof.)

And this is forty minutes after the storm passed thru and took out every window screen and punctured several shutters on the side taking the main brunt:

Always reminded that there are many in worse shape.
Edit:  Outside ambient temperature 62*F.  Beware The Ides of March!

Wow @lousubcap, that's scary! is that teaspoon or TB?

Our D-I-L has a friend whose husband travels around in the US fixing hail damage on cars! Wonder if he'll have to start paying or collecting tariffs 🤣😂

That doesn't look like fun! We had our roof replaced last summer from hail damage. Hopefully your insurance adjuster makes it some easy work on your end. I couldn't have asked for a better experience working with our adjuster and contractor through everything last year. I'm hoping you get the same treatment. A quality contractor makes a world of difference.
