With all the talent and DIY repair posts lately, I thought it appropriate to start this thread. Maybe it will encourage some to tackle a project. I enjoy seeing the posts! Let's go!

Great sustained project right there.  You have permanently etched your care for the kid's turtles with that setup.  They are and will be forever grateful.

In the South, this thread could easily be construed as another “what are you chefing” thread.
“What are you fixing for dinner?” is a common question around these parts.

@lkapigian Long live the turtles, they make great family heirloom. Stipulate in your will that they must be taken care of, or else...  =)

Working on refinishing my wife’s grandmothers cedar chest.  Kind of a when I feel like it fix.  Most the sanding is done except the trim I took off.  The main part I just need to finish filling in the chips and color match them.  Then the refinishing.

Not a cool turtle story, but one of those what are you doing now stories! Just a very frustrating effort challenging my ability to stay cool headed!

Last Friday a HP technician over in Vietnam determined the reason my workhorse laser printer wasn't working was the fault of my Xfinity router/modem. So on Saturday I exchanged it for a brand new one. Simple swap out right? WRONG!!! On Sunday evening after 3 hours on my cell-phone using text communication with an Xfinity service person in China he was finally able to at least get my internet and television side working - but he either went off duty or had to pee as he disconnected our line so he was never able to resolve my land line issue which I really do need. So last night I called China again and the polite technician and I conversed rather than texted, and he determined that something was definitely wrong on their end - not mine - and he set up an appointment for a live XF technician to come here today between 2:00 and 3:00. Well you know the next part...2:00 passed 3:00 passed 4 and then 5 and the person never showed! Pissed me OFF!!! So after 6:00 I called China again and this time I was talking to a pleasant young lady and I kept my cool! She checked and discovered Chinaman last night never actually set up that appointment for today! So now the soonest an XF person can come is SATURDAY afternoon!!! So just call me "No dial tone Ron" until Saturday!  :o

Ron, I'd lodge a complaint with one of the consumer protection agencies about this.  Just let it ring for a while.

Last week I replaced all the 1x8s around my Garage doors and new weatherstripping.  While out of town the wind in TX blew over a section of fence- so I'll be on that this weekend.

**Ahole neighbor has steadfastly refused to split the repair so Ive been repairing and replacing sections slowly.  "The pickets are on your side, its your fence"

I did just pay some $$$ to have all the Masonite Siding removed from the house and put on Hardi siding.  No way I was climbing 30' in the air trying to do that.  Siding is up after some cold weather delays, and now painting has been delayed from this weeks winds.
XLBGE, LBGECharbroil Gas Grill, Weber Q200, Old Weber Kettle, Rectec RT-B380, Yeti 65, Yeti Hopper 20, RTIC 20, RTIC 20 Soft Side - Too many drinkware vessels to mention.

Not quite in Austin, TX City Limits
Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.

I took the plow off the truck but not Kubota yet. I think it's safe... We're supposed to get an inch tonight but be over 60 degrees Tuesday.

A former next door neighbor wouldn’t even change a lightbulb in his house. He told me that when he retired, he retired from everything. Said he’d never lift a finger again. The guy played golf at the country club everyday and his wife rode horses at her riding club.

I'm assuming I'll be finished at 25k and I could of easily saved about 7k.... (not use dricore and not do a drop ceiling)

That's a really good price..... when I built my house 8 years ago the builder wanted 30k, 14k would of been nice.
