Local Labor Day BBQ Competition

I participated in a community BBQ comp on Labor Day and came away with first place ribs, second and third place sides and third place entree. Lots of work and it rained 3” during the middle of the cook. Fed the folks that came out to watch.

Congrats on the tremendous effort to make that all happen and the results. Quite a feeder for the attendees.Really like the rig for cooking the hog.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Wow! Thats a serious local comp!! Congrats for your wins. What were your entries for sides?
And, yes very cool rig for the hog. @20stone and I built something similar for a goat, at Brisket Camp some years back.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Poppa said that my sister Beulah got some glazed poppers from cousin Billy out behind the outhouse once. I think maybe cousin Billy didn't want us to know that he cooks, otherwise he would have given her the glazed poppers right in front of us all.

Amazing cooks, congrats on the wins.
If I may say so, it's kind of funny BGE's are protected by Primo/Traeger tents
